Nothing bad intended from me by my post, banknyank ... just some ridin' discussion is all

Now, if you're set on raising the bike, you could put on a 55 series rear tire (190 or even 200 width). I think you said you've maxed out the rear shock. And here are some raising links ... $140 to raise it 1" to 3" in infinite increments: http://soupysperformance.com/soupys-zx-14-custom-raising-links.html

You might turn her into a sport bike yet!

Post pics of your new ass-high gal! Can't wait to see it!

That one pic says it all ... and the front bike is going to accelerate quicker out of the turn because its already stood up more.

You did indeed get the name right. I didn't write my post very well. As you say there is always someone quicker, but I suspect you are in the top few percent, at least on the street anyway.

I shouldn't have criticized your riding, my only real comment is that your tyre is worn clean to the edge and there is clear evidence of stress at the edge .... that's it ..... that's the limit, any more than that and it lets go, something you are no doubt feeling as you ride. Raising the suspension isn't going to do much to address that fact.

That's just my humble unqualified opinion anyway and I'm no racer, just a long term survivor on the street. Hell these days I even have chicken strips 8-)

I do tend to wander around the country from time to time, I have a flying visit to Melbourne at the end of the month for work. I intend to do a tour of that part of the world in the next couple of years, I'll let you know when I do.

Cheers, Keith

This forum & it's cluey members are worth their weight in gold.
Thanks a bunch.
I'll be ordering a set of those links during the week next week I'm tippin.
Minimum of a 1 inch raise, sounds a lot as a base figure, time will tell.

Feel free to send me a PM anytime Keith, no offence taken, we're all on the same page as it were, I'm around an hour East of Melbourne.

Now there's roads to be ridden this weekend, I'm outa here for my share.

Cop you later. Johnno
