Engine Vibration
05/18/19 4:21 PM

2014 14r new in 2015

18,000 km. Synthetic oil used.

Recently either just developed a new vibration or maybe just noticing now a vibration 3,000 to 5,000 rpm's. Feel it in both the handlebars and foot pegs. Nothing drastic , just mild I would say in intensity . When sitting still the vibration is still there at these rpm's , so I concluded it's probably not wheel/drivetrain related.

After a little research online I decided to try some fuel injector cleaner as a test . I think it helped somewhat with the vibration almost immediately and furthermore the engine in general seems to be running smoother. Any experience/ comments ? Is it all in my cerebral cortex ?

recently changed gloves / changed shoes?
road asphalt getting rough after the winter?
just being oversensitive perhaps?
sorry for this trivial input... but it happens

1. Yes, injector cleaner makes a seat of the pants run smoother.
2. Yes, do cut open your oil filter cartridge, drain the oil and look for shinny shit between the pleats.
3. Yes, you found nothing of the sort in the filter, so it was in your head.
