The Key Fob Files

http://www.visordown.com/motorcycle-news--general-news/kawasaki-service-history-goes-digital/26344.html

Okay, listen up mother tea. Brilliant idea. How about we expand the service and oh look on the dash, a factory update! Oh look, the map changed and my stumble is gone. Oh look, a service coupon I've been such a loyal dealer(s) to customer relations and proof with service records to boot. Oh look, a happy with my service button with 10q's, and on a scale to 10 how about I grade my dealer and did that jump to a private entity and then report to the factory kind of primitive electronic age we are in? The tech is here to stay and it's already blue is my tooth ready steady radar.

are they now going to do away with the service manual and all you have is a usb? Soon you won't get an owners manual either. Just a key and a USB.

"a factory update!" Very cool idea..but I don't think that'd be possible. What would be updated? You can't switch engine parts or such out there riding;)

untamed, I doubt it... but then again. A mechanic can't drag a laptop around, go thru pages or work a book like the wire diagrams are hard to see in the first place. I'd look up pages faster in a book. No charger needed. Book would be the backup if the fob is lost. They'd be fools to not print manuals. JMO.

Grn, I came up with the update idea. For example, a certain bike has a tre like twitch that some riders complained about. The next year they changed the map plotting and smoothed it out. You can take your last year's bike of said gen; the dealer burns in the updated mapping. The tech is here via delphi and GM with their car phones built-in. It's already here:

Stranded: I left my keys in the ignition.
GM OnStar: Hello, this is onstar.

Stranded: I left my keys in the car.
GM OnStar: Hello, Senior Moment is this you?

Stranded: Come on, just satellite my door will ya!
GM OnStar: Did you know you have a code present?

Stranded: No shit?
GM OnStar: Go tighten your gas cap. Have-a-gooday.

A bucket list was checked off this morning.... 'Stick these keys and fob in your pocket, and follow me'. The keys were for the fork lock, and you carry the fob as your wi fi communicator to start the bike. How about I rise my hand and we turn around, I've got enough of an effect of the performance. No, let's just ride the short loop and keep it simple insurance wise. As soon as we turned onto a long straight road, I opened it up just yards from the dealer and wanted to raise my hand.

Oh fuck yeah it gets up and goes. Impressively quick, smooth, feels so light when moving the bars. As fast a k-skid reaction from a snap-opened grip, to the grip on the tire, did it kick in with a slightly detectable-millisecond-bump; if you were waiting for it. Your body will sit a little different once off the more comfortable 14. Brembo equipped brought the bike down quite well. I had to give the guy a little background check and he set it to full sport mode for me.

I'd let the guide distance me a few times of course and let'er rip, then bang the Brembo's before I'd tag the salesman's rear fender with a tap. We rode Z formation of course so I got close once. While I was riding down there, the 14 was in 6th and keeping the 65 speed limit sustained and then whacked it open. That 14 pulls so hard, I don't believe the Wire could match the torque on this baby.

So the short (pun) of it is, yeah, I fell in love with it. Was I about to step-down in torque? Oh fuck no. Was I about to Kruz up and begin a small fleet? No. They wouldn't sell the demo. I know the Motogp E-bike costs a lot less and exceeds the Wire's mileage window, but, it does not look as stunning. As usual Harley's execution, it's so simply put together a toddler could work on it.

You can go live on the 19th on Harley's website and watch the presentation of the new model line. I was told they will cut down on paint choices, and discontinue a few model lines. Market sales says dirt bikes are flying out the door, so they are out to grab a little of that share with a Dakar Rally type bike; introducing a new engine family fitted into it.

It all depends on what's in front of you and how far away it is. Hopefully you see it. Depending on what it is, you could be in for trouble if it sees you first or in some other cases, if it doesn't.

At that speed, the incoming is doing probably around 70ish.Gambler is doing 200.Hard to make out anything in that scenario...that's why pulling over in a holding pattern is a smart thing to do...I guess?IDK.Never been in that situation.

If you're talking about cops, I'd say pull over and say a prayer. Damn it sucks. That's why I have to start doing this stuff on a track.

The animals are another story. They'll run out on you like they never knew you were there.

Right click on it and scroll down to 'covert to english'. Your collectable is more valuable if you owned what they collected.

I may not see it in my lifetime, but I'll take the bet, the world's fastest E-Bike would be mother tea. No more HP numbers but WATTSay, my, that's a big one. I'd trade torque for sound any day.

Not bad looking, and range is decent. Didn't see anything about pricing though. Price and range seem to make a lot of electrics not so interesting to me.

Take it away, Desi Arnez... Lettuce and Gentlemen,

https://www.kawasaki.com/en-us/featured-vehicles?cm_re=HOMEPAGE-_-FEATUREDVEHICLES-_-VIEWALLFEATUREDVEHICLES

Didn't want to open another thread, but rather a 2 week teaser-down tick to the 26th. I believe that is the date for 6 more models. Notice our 'featured vehicles' minus the 14.

I went down to the border, sold all the sneakers [I bought here] to the illegals coming from that long walk here. BG tossed all those sellers out so I don't have an impulse anymore to buy. I kind of took a bath on the sales, and have to borrow some Bikes Built Better money from Grn.

Figure it's a race to the dealer to see who sits on big siren toy whistle blower 1500 ZX-SC first. It better be faster, super'd, and bored to the hilt. Grn's and my cash waiting.

EDIt:

And that's a potential home page dropdown bike to enter to the ZX series.

...don't forget Rook and I AM in need. If they make a SC ZX-15, I have the money and I will beat all of you to the dealer to put in my deposit, sight unseen. It would be perfect timing for me and might I say very bad timing for Suzuki. I'll laugh my ass off if the Hayabusa gets clobbered a second time after failing to properly ripost the Gen2 ZX-14. Suzuki deserves the old 1-2-goodnight Irene for that blunder. I hope Kaw does it and if they do, I'll happily pay big money to ride the end all of end alls. This is it fellas, the electric bikes are coming. If we have a hyperbike to top the H2, I need that before I die. I don't care what it costs, I'm gettin it and I'm riding it.

Possible they might introduce an E-bike. Tesla torque? Just the one motor is impressive. So for sure an E-bike would blow away the 14. I don't care what I sit on. If it darts from a fender... that be the bike for me.

3 years ago I rode a Zero E-bike and darn what a difference. It was what I called the "Baby Zero" and it was kinda impressive. It was fun and picked up speed quick for its little size, braking was no complaints plus handled ok. He said 75 miles and it was time to charge so on the charger it went and he took out one of his gas powered bikes. Zero was ready to ride the next day but to him 75 miles is like riding around the block.

He got tired of it and sold the Zero.

Rode the Wire. Impressive. At the time 30k out the door. Now they are 20k srp. Maybe in the high teens out the door. So well made when you physically look it every part.

So no word of a new 14, hey?

Might be time to go with a Gen2.

Yes, I guess I read the homepage wrong? Said 6 intro's, down to 4. Looked at all the new models and had every H2 and that is becoming a large selection of prices. The 1352cc bagger, other bikes, but no 14 in the lineup. No 14? I do not see the 14 along with the H2's.

That's what threw me off. Why no 14 in the lineup with the other models? Then, only way to find the 14 was to search for it. But we knew that the 14 for '22 was already old news. So the 4 models are shown on the homepage and we just wait for next year.

If they stop selling the 14R, I imagine dealers will hold out for a higher price on whatever is left over. If they have a Gen3, Gen2s will be cheap but most are going to want the latest. I'd be screaming if I bought a Gen2 and the following year they came out with a Gen3. The Gen3 is what I've been waiting for but it might never come.

Look Out Rook! https://currently.att.yahoo.com/att/one-of-the-fastest-growing-motorcycle-brands-has-3-wheels-not-2-143856347.html?.tsrc=daily_mail&uh_test=1_11

It was so funny to hear the list of maintenance jobs involved with today's bike, and thinking Rook is going to miss this and I can't wait.

Imagine doing a wheelie on that!! Some of the three wheel road bikes are pretty cool looking but until I see them in racing, I'll stick to the old two wheel. I'm guessing nobody will ever make a three wheel motorcycle with a lot of power because owners would be crashing left and right. I am thinking about getting a 14R though.
