Well ? Nobody riding ?
10/24/19 6:43 PM

So once again it's time for yet another Maddevill's Breakfast Loop.
This time with George {2009 Ducati Hyper}, Kevin {FZ09}, Stephen {Ninja 400} and myself.
I was on a friend's FZ09 because he can't ride for awhile and wanted me to take his bike out.
And also because my front tire is shaped like a pyramid and my bike handles like shit.
The ride was the usual. Ride, have coffee and eggs, ride down a smooth twisty road through the redwoods,
ride down an even twistier road out to the coast. Stop for coffee and B.S.
Ride some more...go home.
The FZ in the pictures is the one I was on. Kevin had to go home early.

The FZ09 is a fun bike with a major flaw. It has a super sensitive throttle. I would be in a turn,
and ANY bump would result in either a chopped throttle or a massive burst of acceleration. Not fun when
you're leaned over quite a ways.

HA! That's exactly my kind of bike... responsive. Unfortunately, the yammie execution is more or less flawed. I had a chance to buy an '07, joined a website, read the driveability complaints, clutch basket blowups, phantom codes popping up, I laughed, got booted off eventually. What a piece of shit no matter the cc.

I'm grounded for winter. Glad to see some of you are still enjoying riding.

The weather here is...up and down.Btween 50 degrees F to 30.During the day. With rain and some snow. Not much fun tryin to get out and arrive home with a clean bike.Really not into cleaning if I don't have to.You guys have good rides out there.Be safe.Mine are now pretty much tucked away. But available if it miraculously warms up.I used ta ride in 30 and below weather here...I can't really get into that anymore, even with heated gear. And I aint movin ta Cali to ride a few months longer.lol.

Kofla, have you seen the new ZX25? 250cc 4 cylinder, like the old ZX250RR back in the 90s.
Beam frame, quickshifter standard, upside down forks. I'm hearing 60 hp. I predict a lot of Ninja 250/300s for sale soon.

.
I am attending the International Motorcycle Show in New York City a month from now, I expect to see them there. I wish those 250cc 4 cylinders were available when I bought my first bike in the early 70's!

So, I found out some sad news. Apparently the ZX25 may not be coming to the US...
AND it has a STEEL frame although it is a perimeter style.
But, 4 cylinders, estimated 60 hp, quick shifter, I'm keeping my fingers crossed it comes here.

1975 Honda CB400f was a cute little 403cc motorcycle.
