If you contact Dynojet tech support, they will tell you which map will best fit your exhaust. I used a Muzzy map by Dynojet for my Tsukigi full system and it ran fine.

The R77 is so popular, I can't believe they don't have that map for the 14R. As long as the R-77 map is for a ZX-14 and it is 2012 or newer, it will work on all 2012 to present ZX-14s. Also, the air filter is virtually irrelevant to the fuel map. You can use a map tuned for an R-77 and race filter 2012-2018 ZX-14.

That´s so true, can´t belive that there´s no map for R77, i contact tech support and they thell me that the most similar is 17-005-502, but is for european models with akrapovic slip on exhaust, even is for pcv + O2 optimizer (i don´t have it but they say that it must work fine)but i would like to use a map crated for my exhaust, not a similar

You will need to get a tune to get a perfect match for your bike. I would ask about using a Muzzy or some other full system Dynojet map. I would also try the map they suggest. I would almost bet you would feel little or no difference. My experience so far is that tuning AFR does not make a huge difference in performance but it does ensure you are running the engine at a safe AFR.

I've used 3 maps and there wasn't one that was extremely better than the other. As far as performance, they all worked good.

The first map was a DJ map for flies out/stock exhaust. It worked well but no better than the stock map.

I then switched to a Tsukigi Cannon full system/flies out/BMC race filter and a map made by a tuner for that exact setup. The map was even created with a 2008 ZX-14 which is the year my bike was made. If anything, it was an almost imperceptible improvement. The laggy flies response was still there even though I had the flies out and I supposedly had a map to compensate for flies out. I did one AutoTune adjustment and that made the flies response smoother. I didn't touch it for years. It ran good. I didn't have the time or the knowhow to mess with tuning AFR with my AutoTune.

I then switched to Romans map which was for an Akrapovich. It was not a big change from the previous map I had used but perhaps a bit more power at larger throttle openings and a little better response in the flies closed zone of the powerband. I could still feel a lag from improper fueling below 3000 rpm but it ran well and the AFR was safe.

Enter AutoTune. I learned to tune on the road and starting with Romans map, I created my own custom tune with my bike and my exhaust. Still no better than Romans map for his Gen1 ZX-14 and Akrapovich exhaust but it did get the AFR spot on throughout the powerband and the flies lag is all but gone now. I still feel it a tiny bit.

SO I guess I'm saying, don't fret if you can't get the exact map to match your setup. It should be for your exact model of bike. I too would be hesitant to use a Euro map if I did not have a Euro spec bike. Try to get ahold of Chris Kelly at DJ by email. Ordinary techs at DJ do not always seem to get it right but I trust Chris Kelly 100% If he doesn't know, he'll tell you he doesn't know. He would not suggest a map that was unsafe. I do not think DJ maps are designed for best performance but I also do not think that matters very much unless you are racing. DJ maps should be very safe.

I'd ask them about trying a few of there maps so you can see if one feels any better than another.

If you have to have optimum performance, AutoTune or a custom tune by a highly reputable tuner. IMHO, any map that runs well and has a safe AFR is going to be about as good as the next.

Thanks rook, in fact i email to Chris Kelly, he is helping me. My ecua was flashed, and the engine response was very much violent, but didn´t work fine in every rpm range, i buyed a PCV and return ecu to stock, because with PCV i can switch between a powerful map and a map for touring (i do touring too)but i still feel that flash is better, but as i say, there´s a reason for install PCV for me
Appreciate your help

...and if you care to delve into the whole tuning process, you have control of everything (at least with the Gen1) that you do with a flash. That is the appeal of DJ equipment for me.

i still feel that flash is better, but as i say, there´s a reason for install PCV for me

If you are going to make your own maps by flash, you need to buy your own flashing software and related products which is more expensive than a full DJ setup. What I find interesting is that flashing has much more detailed map tables. I'd like to try it to see if those extra cells make any difference.

Appreciate your help

Any time.
