14R 'mods'

Okay...well...I went out tonight and 'attempted' to see if I could get some things to fit up.Pipes and such. The CS Ones are not gonna work...the midpipe is just too long.So that's out.For now.Diameter was just fine however...so that's something? My next deal was to remove the badging.I started at the tank.MY GOD...I don't know WHAT kind of glue they used on that lettering(which peels off while heating with a hairdryer)...but it took around an hour just to get it all off(the actual letters came off fairly easily).SHEESH!So now the TANK has no stickers or lettering. The 'Ninja" ones are next.THEN...the rear big azz zx14r deals.Honestly...I need some advice on what to use to remove that glue.I used Alcohol.I soaked the glue in Vegetable oil.I used SwirlX by Meguiar's.Even tried some Honda Cleaner/polish.Geez....FINALLY it came off.But it was on there baby.Put up a damn good fight...I'll tell ya that!!Any ideas guys for quick melting of that adhesive? Thanks all!

The bike's just BITCHEN!!!!!!!BTW...I did manage to remove the FRONT reflectors

I was able to weigh the stock can with midpipe....hold onto yer azz....12 lbs. That's it!My CS one Mufflers were weighing in under that, but not by much!I think these stock cans are gonna stay...anyone want a set of CS ONES?...brand new....half price.ONLY ONE THING>>>>the rightside midpipe...I cut just at 1" off the fitment end to the collector...on the midpipe. You can't tell it's been cut...fits fine...would fit excellent on an earlier model zx14.Very nice set of cans.VERY.

Before your criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you do criticize them, you're a mile away and have their shoes.

IMHO, that shit works for shit. Glad I only got a small bottle. I used on the gas tank fuel rec sticker on the busa. SUcked donkey, big time. There is a little plastic weather proof membrane adhered over the sticker. Don't take that off separately. Take it and the paper below up at the same time. No glue will be left behind.

Rubber cement thinner should readily melt any stickum residue. Better test in aninconspicuous area like tank under rthe seat. I bet it will be fine. I would not use acetone as that MAY clean the paint right off??? it will on fresh paint.

Try WD40. It takes off most glues really well and doesn't hurt the paint or plastic.
