Grn, how much quicker is your H2 than your 14? A friend of mine has one and he wants to race me on my 14 this year.
If you're in Montana we're neighbors. I live in North Dakota

heya mokaw.well,i can only say...lots quicker.internet has some vids on there with that comparo.the stock h2 motor with the stock exhaust put out around 210 or so hp.that's not so incredible.but with a repipe and flash,it bumps it up to around 245.the hardest part of 'racing' this h2 in a straight line is tuning in the ktrc.and keeping her stuck to the ground.(through all 6 gears).

you do live close...we should hook up there.that'd be fun;)Let ya rock me beloved H2 ;)she loves fresh meat!!!

Well, from what you've said, it doesn't sound like I'd have much of a chance. He has a slip-on on his H2 and I know he had the ECU reflashed by Guhl. I have a 2012 14R, Brock Alienhead exhaust, CBlast flash (done by Nels) and stock gearing. He's about 6'1" and 210 lbs. and I'm 5'8" and about 150 lbs. He had a new Busa a couple of years ago and I smoked him really bad. I guess he wants revenge. He is a good guy though, and a good friend.
I live in Bismarck. If you ever make it here I'll have to take you to see a friend of mine, Lee Mitzel. He has Mitzel Motorcycle Collections. He has between 400 & 500 motorcycles, worth right around 4 million dollars. He has bikes from the early 50's up to modern. Kawasaki 500's (an original white 1969 that looks like it just came off the showroom floor) a 1970 that's a 5 cylinder instead of a 3 cylinder, a 1972 H2 that's a 4 cyl. instead of 3 cyl., about 16 Honda CBX 6 cyl., a bunch of Z1's, 20 or more Honda 750's. I don't have enough room here to name everything he has. It's unbelievable. I know he was in Las Vegas a few weeks ago at an auction selling some of his bikes so he could get more and different ones. He's got bikes of every brand. He even has one that was found by the China wall, still in the crate. I can't remember the brand. It's a pretty odd one. All of his bikes are restored and look like new.
Anyway, if I race my buddy, I'll let you know what happens.

I'd do it. If you win you win, don't beat him too bad. if you loose, no big deal.

just beat him outta the hole mainly and run through your powerband, quickshifting.the 14 definitely a challenge for the h2.gonna be up to you nailing those shifts and gassin her hard all the way up.good luck! You may just pull it off.;)His downfall will be keeping the nose down.Any manipulating of his throttle will slow his acceleration.Course,as you said...the guhl flash and pipe...that's gonna be hard to overcome.

Will, there's a guy posting on 1441r.com who is beating an H2 on his Gen2 14 most of the time frm a roll on. The H2 owner is getting Guhled soon and the 14 owner expects that to be the end of his winning streak.
