My 14 is having trouble turning over. Should I get a new battery or will plugging in a tender work. Is the little wire coming from under the fairing were the battery is for hooking up the tender. I know nothing about this. Thanks!!!!

The Battery Tender pigtail ends in a SAE connector. That is one pin (like a male quick disconnect pin) and a plastic portion beside it with a female connector inside. The Battery Tender unit has a mirror image for connecting to it.

My 08 after 49240 miles on it is still using the battery that came with the bike. Every time I put the bike up I plug into my Battery Tender 800. I am sure that is the reason that it is still functioning properly.

I recommend a Shorai. Ask around. Some people have been reporting having problems with them. Mine has been just fine for a year now.

My OEM battery in my 08 lasted 3 years and 25K miles. Used a tender during storage. Never drained battery down until it died.

Yes, that is an SAE connector.

Good old boys call them SNAIL CONNECTERS.
