Also check out bikebandit, I've gotten parts from there before, some sites have WAY better pricing on the OEM fairing pieces than others (by several hundred dollars). Grn14 has a good point about the decals, I'd recommend contacting the site to ask if the fairing comes with the decals or not (the last time I ordered it did have the decals, which I thought was odd), if that part has any foam/shielding on the inside, you need to order that separately (usually only a couple of bucks and worth the money).

PS: I was gonna say if you order online use one of the sites sponsored links but I just realized there's no more ads on the site... not sure when THAT happened

They should have a pic in the diagram with a box around it of the fairing with decals...however...yours will NOT have a decal(the midfairing)...it will have the Ninja Logo...which you need to buy separate. It'll be called..."markings" or 'mark"...not decals. That side panel has no decals on it...the belly fairing,yes...they can come with a decal...so watch how you order.Should be a 'complete' little diagram with a box around it and clearly showing an installed decal on it....you'll see it.That's what ya want. The box will have a diagram of the part, with the decal on it...with the number for the 'whole box'(see below)...that will include any installed decals. The "markings' are NOT decals. If the box does not show a decal on there...you do NOT order that one."Labels" are NOT the logos or decals either.

55054ACOWLING,LWR,RH,M.S.BLACK......NOTE...this is the RIGHT side...you will want the LEFT side. It's there.(LH)
55054-5436-660
$176.19

THE 40R is for the GREEN PAINTED PARTS...so the lower belly fairing will NOT be a 40R...it'll be black.Whatever that number designation is.Just don't get GRN....(GRN).

You MAY be able to salvage your inner pads....just peel off slowly with a hair dryer...I was able to....gotta make sure they're right back where they are though...otherwise...you may have fitment problems when you reinstall your new panels.Maybe take a pic of where they're at in there before you remove(from the broken panel).Especially that midfairing...the upper pad slopes back a particular way and distance from the seam and such.I used some 'elmer's' spray adhesive on mine...worked very well.Spray the applied side of the pad....stick it in place...it'll hold good.

Oldguy,

Welcome. Here is the head game scenario.

A. I'm old. I have plenty of reach around money, my pension is fine. I just like a nice looking bike all shinny and new. No biggie out of pocket, plus I'm anal to boot.

B. I'm on a fixed income, it's going to cost me some reach around that could be spent on bills, meds and food; do I feed a bike going down in value?

C. I'm tired of pouring money in a bike is a dime I'll never get back, so screw it. I rather apply that wear mark as just like hitting the boat too hard on the dock see my dent? But that darn thing is still floating. It looks fine. I can live with it. I'm not cheap nor anal. I fix what needs fixing, but I have floor pee teen ya. Flooryukit!

____________________________________________________________________________

A. Happens like this. I may have a different color due to the sun's rays. All that money and the scratch wasn't that bad now that I look back. I shoulda lived with it for awhile. Why didn't I magic mark the padding outline on the old fairing and goop 4 points on the pad, like I need to spray the pad back on? I'm going to let the new fairing sit out for a few weeks in the sun and match the paint of the bike. I ride in the sun and park in the sun, but in the garage for the rest of the time.

B. I have minimum insurance so I eat not feed those hands out I'm in good hands sure, yeah right. So the scratch is starting to grow on me. I trade it in, they are going to give me less so what. The sun trick didn't work, so I'm covering up a drop not a crash. That's going to throw up a red flag anyway, so I'm wondering where to turn?

C. What did I tell you? The two of you head games go fight it out. Ain't my call, just looking at that mark on a bike ticking down in value. And all it has is a scratch.

"I can't find the green 1"

The Grn side panel would be identified as 40R(see part number below)...that's the Gold Blazoned Green. It won't have the Ninja logo on it...that's separate.

I showed you the lower belly fairing because of the decal diagram that it is described with...in that picture. You CAN buy a black one without the decal...that's all I was showing that for.Just in case you DID need that part as well. The midfairing is right there as well...

55028-55055...A~E(your Grn one is one of those letters there)...you pick the 'letter' designation for the Grn one on the parts fiche diagram.(it'll also show...40R in there somewhere for grn).

It's half broken in, when it falls on the right side, then break in is complete.

I showed a friend what I did. And he works on dents and scratches for a living. He got out a polishing wheel on a cordless impact gun and worked some magic on my bike. I can hardly see the scratches now... problem fixed. Its great to have good friends!

It's heart wrenching when they go down! :(
I nearly peed my pants while I was laying in the middle of the road watching my girl sliding down US HWY 71! Luck was on my side, though, minimal damage to a couple parts. I just popped a sticker on the piece I couldn't polish. Kawi used quality plastic and paints on these girls, there is enough paint they shine right up with the right compounds.

The the lower cowling, bar end and the heat shield on the muffler were the only things scuffed from the slide.
