if your friend says the pig spotters give a better view he is lying to you. you can still see behind you but think about it if the stock mirrors are obstructed by you body wouldn't mirrors closer to your body be obstructed worse? there is no magic pill. you could add spacers (for got who makes them) to the stock mirrors so they stick out farther and give you a better view. personally I said screw it with my 07 and added a bar end mirror and 2 fish eye mirrors. they do ok for what there for but still not as good of a view as stock. I head check alot. but I did before removing the mirrors any way.

See better with the Pig Spotters? I don't see how... take a look at how close they are on the body... then take a look at how offset the ZX14 mirrors are. And the stock is still not enough for me. I have the 1" spacers ordered so that will help. The mirror position and shape are at the top of the 14 Con List for me.
I've already added the 1" risers so next on my list are lower footpegs and a lower seat.

With the pig spotters don't you also have to use block-off plates on the old mounts and drill new holes for the pigspotters on the 14???
Personally I think the oem mirror's are the best I have ever used on a bike..No Vvvviiibbbbbrrationnss..
