Bike Stalling in Neutral
07/10/11 7:05 AM

I have ridden other bikes before but this is my first bike I've owned and this is the first bike I've experienced this problem on. I first got the bike at 4880 miles, after I put another 1200 miles on it it started to act funny. When at a red light, while in first gear with the clutch all the way in the bike would stall out. Also recently when at a red light while in neutral and my hand off the clutch the bike stalls out. This was not happening at first or on any other bikes i've ridden so does this sound out of the norm?

Raise the idle to 1,100 rpm when warm. Other than that, there might be an air leak that low of an rpm. Then again, it should have some sort of air pop on decel or accel kind of air leak exposing itself. If not, idle is too low. Find black flexible hose with a knob at the end for this is the idle cable located on the left side of bike.

I don’t know where you live but it wont hurt to check your air filter to but I agree with hub.
