Talked to Kay today. Here's the latest.
Jay continues to make progress, although slowly. He is eating chopped food and walking with the aid of a walker. He does video chat with Kay and the kids. And he is showing frustration sometimes which I think is a very good thing. It could mean that he is aware of the limitations he is facing and he's getting impatient about it. He is struggling to write but sometimes speaks sentences but not too coherent. He nods his head to requests and usually responds to instructions. He still can't remember Kay or the kids names but smiles when they video chat with him. He is eating well and that helps with his strength.
Kay is incredibly grateful for your thoughts and prayers. Said to tell you all how much it means to her and the family. Progress will be slow but the frustration and anger he is exhibiting could signal better things for the future.
