Hagrig: SoundBomb Horn
10/24/15 3:39 PM

Hagrid was asking me about my Stebel horn installation.

This week, I saw this in this month's Motorcyclist magazine: A Stebel-like "dual tone" horn, with an air hose separating the air compressor from the horn bell.

Pretty cool, and perfect for a 14R installation:

If this is a "good" quality, then it would make installation much simpler for us.

Hmm.. the draw is 20 amps. I'm not sure what that would do to your battery/alt if you are running lots of accessories.

Yeah, 20 A sounds (hahaha) about right.

For a really good 10 sec blast, just to let'em know you "mean business", it's gonna be OK...

Be ready for gunplay for anything longer.

That is crazy! I want a super loud horn ... but not ALL the time. So I'd have to just ADD this one, while keeping the OEM horn. I'm picky like that.

I run both the OEM and my version of SoundBomb.

I kept the OEM, because I noticed a time lag for the compressor to build pressure into the line for the SoundBomb.

I wanted there to be *something* Right Now when I press that button...

Tho, I don't ride with the expectation that any noise will do anything except upset my noise target (the meathead).
