great review grn14 sounds like a keeper....hope you have many fun and safe miles with the bike.

my inseam about 29/30 inches would you say that might be a problem touching the ground ?

everybody needs to chill... all bikes are cool shit i put 14,000 miles on a 09 fz6r in little over a year and i had tons of fun.

thinking about driving my yama tommorow and hit some dealers just to see trade and price and all..called one dealer today to just see if he had one in stock to look at.. he said the next 2 are spoken for and their are about 6 orders after that so i would be like 8 or 9 at his shop.

but i might keep my 09 not sure yet this is good for all of us you never know what the other manufacter will come up with just keeps the pot turning... so we all win.

been while since i had the copper busa so not sure i want 3 times the horsepower right now... but sounds like aewsome ride.

all who have one keep us posted !!

getting cold in upstate ny, but the road have not been salted yet so i may have a ride or 2 left. not winter until the 21st...... then i start to get ready to put the bike up for the winter.

Howdy Mark...your inseam would be fine.No prob. The only 'prob' I could see would b the extra 20 lbs of the bike.If you're already on tiptoes, you might have a tad more difficulty pushing backwards. But other than that...she'd be fine.I always liked the copper Busa...just never got one myself.

I just came back out from cleaning my bike off...two days of dry dusty pavement. There's some very cool(IMO)design differences with this bike that I can tell already she's gonna be much easier to 'want' to go out and clean her up and all that.

For one thing...the wheels.Great design I think.Spokes are small, easy to get your hands in there and hit everything with a nice clean rag.The center of the rims are raised a bit,so wiping down the rim "flat" area is very easy and quick.Getting into the spokes is very simple as well...no trying to twist your hand in there to get each side. One hand, can wipe down the ribs on every side AND the center hub casting as well.Very nice.

Getting to the frame parts, the swingarm and such, there's plenty of room in between the muffler and swingarm on both sides.Hand fits in there nicely and you can wipe down the total length of the swingarm without catching on anything. Both sides. Very easy to get the whole muffler wiped down as well...can reach in there on the inside and give er a good cleaning without snagging your hand on anything.Nice on the knuckles

The front wheel is just as easy.Smaller flat surfaces to wipe off,and the center ribs to the hub are slightly raised.Spokes...the same...smaller and easy to get the whole rib and corners wiped off. They made these wheels very easy to clean. You can actually get all the way in to the center hub area without cutting the back of your hands on the rotors.Nice.Gonna be a lot easier to 'want' to clean.

Poor Kruz...he's painted himself into a corner with his remarks about my meaning about what I said.If he buys a new 14R...then he's gonna have to admit...it's a 'better' bike .But if he refuses to get one...then he'll forever be wondering what he's been missing.

Nah Grn14 mate im sure Kruz has got his fair share of Newer bikes to run mate he aint knocking it (ZX14r) he just saying whats true with most things i've bought over the years bro

After a few weeks or months, you start to realize it's just another motorcycle. I'm not going to fault Grn14 here as I've been guilty of the same euphoria many a time.
just like all the previous machines they all get superceded in time,in fact look at the changes since the CBR11000xx was the king ! some R at the top like then the Busa since that it's gen 1 ZX14 no 1- Busa no 1- Gen 2 ZX14 no 1- BMW1000rr no 1- 2011 ZX10r no 1 ! - BMW1000rr no 1 - Aprilla F4 - Ducati Pangal! now ZX14R -all the talk here was about the mighty BMW1000rr, now Aprilla has there measure & im sure Kruz's ZX10R aint no pony LOL some R there longer than others Grn14 hey Good for you ,Seno,Snuffy & others it (ZX14R) is the bees knees now & like my 2010 ZX1400 is still to me now ! just think mate my ZX1400 (Due to my Dilemma) might have less Kays on it than your New 14R LOL, so when I upgrade by 2013 on the ZX1????????????

Ahhhhh Bean thankyou, you said it better than I ever could've mate! I was just discussing the 'syndrome' with Rook the other evening. This is where the best and baddest comes out and you buy that and then something else that's a couple hundredths quicker or 10 lbs lighter or whatever comes out and you gotta have that as well. I got caught up in it, it seems there's always something just a little better out there and that's fine but at some point you just have to say I have enough!

Truth be told the new 14 sounds badazz but already have a 14 that I still can't exploit the full potential of. I think if they had gone a different direction with it, lighter, tighter wheelbase, more sport less dragstrip oriented I'd be more intrigued. Case I'n point, my 14s at 175 rear wheel HP now while my ZX6R is only 110 HP. Why then, do I look forward to riding the 6R so much? It's because it's more fun to ride, has nothing to do with dyno read outs and everything to do with enjoying the ride.

We're also reaching the point of diminishing return on investment where big gains in HP mean only marginal gains
in performance. It seems to me, the real gains are to be found in supercharging the rider and that's the area I'm most interested in.

Cheers to everyone, enjoy the new ride!

Thought I'd clarify one thing, 6R is more fun on a feisty road but for long rides the 14 is still the king!

Grn, Wee-wee need a piss in the 100% briefs, we read the 100% lowdown on this bike. Look at all that snow behind you. That is a tone wheel's playground and where are the mode switch up's? Black ice is wait for the night to bring the liquid back to frozen fresh squeeze on the throttle apply like open the thing up on a puddle already! Use the left hand wattage button! WATTsaye?

Another good rear view WOT? Put some super behind it... You bought it, right? I know watts wrong... Man, if your balls have a percentage difference of you know the percentages of using that tampon to catch the switch change?

I fell down and I can't get up ABS, I just pushed the button... Pushed the button! I just pushed the button..

Now Hub...the owner's manual clearly states..."the KTRC cannot protect the rider from all possible hazards and is not a substitute for safe riding practices"....No Hub...I'm not going to purposely try it in Black Ice....So ferget it.

But here's a nice little exerpt for ya..."If a wheelie occurs due to excessive acceleration,KTRC will control the engine output to make the front wheel contact the road surface"....

Nah Kruz...those guys are too busy posin, drinkin coffee and such to ever get out where the big boys play! They're the ones that wheelie down the road here in town at 80 mph or so...you know...those ones that think they can really ride...in a 35 zone. Got their loud gp pipes on their 1000's and 750's and such.In fact...I've NEVER EVER run across anything out there where the fun really begins on anything smaller than a Busa. That's a fact there.Few ST's ya...couple of Concours....but that's it.

Now Grn, the manual clearly states to remove the rotor to split the case is it seems this is not the case. Apparently, your cotton briefs are still dry. WOT kind of road test is that? WATT is with that mode switch? We seem to be lacking in the wheel get up and go/no go system. Do I need to buy this bike to find the answers? SnoWay!

The top model has yet to appear.
