Great idea, especially having the override.
1. Where did you find a small enough air compressor?
2. Where did you mount the air compressor?
3. Where did you mount the air tank?
4. What the hell do you use it for? LOL
I ask out of curiosity due to how tight space is on a ZX. I had a hard time finding room under the seat for a tire repair kit with CO2 cartridges, I'm impressed you found room for an AC and tank!!! Awesome!!!
1. MPS makes a small onboard air compressor meant for squeezing into tight places on the bike...
2. I temperaily removed the center seat latch and zip tied the sucker in its place. Also I use a catalyst step seat which is made of fiberglass and has no padded seat and is hollow. I'm basically sitting right in the tank as you can see in the pics. It also provides shit tons of extra room in the tail section. The compressor is temperaily mounted where it is because I was in a quick pinch and need to mount it somewhere ASAP; I was supposed to go to the dragstrip last Friday but the races endup begin cancelled because of rain. I will do something different because I still want to be able to use the stock seat without having to reinstall/remove a bunch of parts every time I want to switch seats.
3. The air tank is built into my swingarm...problem solved...lol
4. I use the air tank to operate my airshifter for drag racing.
One thing I did to make a little breathing room under the seat was to remove the toolbox..
Right now since I have the time I am unwiring everything I have under the seat to rearrange and organize a bunch of shit and clean up the wiring to make room for a more semi-perminent location for the air compressor...
Here's what it looked like before I started undoing everything. You can see the air compressor in the center of everything there and you can see why I'm redoing the wiring...
