Nice pictures Kofla. I love that Z900. I also love your cap and jacket. I've been a Yankee fan since the 1960's.

Since it's inception the Kawasaki Z900rs has been recreating the paint job of the old Kawasaki 900's. 2020 colors with the yellow stripes is very similar to that of the 1974 Kawasaki Z1 900.

This is my favorite color scheme of all Kawasaki inline fours. I just need to find a local auto body painter to match this color scheme to my 1978 KZ1000. And as you can tell, the Yankees are also my favorite team.

Me too. In hindsight, I wish I hadn't sold mine.

I live in the SF Bay Area, which is pretty heavy on motorcycling. Lots of great places to ride.
A couple years ago they moved our motorcycle Expo to Sacramento, then cancelled it up here entirely. Now if I want to check out the new bikes I have to go to Long Beach, which ain't happening.
Even when we had the show it was the "B" show, mostly local dealers. Kind of sucked.

Having worked in the motorcycle business for several years, in the 80's and 90's, I used to attend the show representing my dealership at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in NYC. Attending the show was an excellent way for networking and learning about new products. Four decades later, not much has changed. It is still mostly local dealers promoting the new models.

This is one of the reasons why I have always wanted to attend the largest motorcycle event in the world, the EICMA in Milan. They display and feature concept motorcycles from all manufacturers.

When I attend the show now, I usually hang out with friends I have not seen in quite some time that are still in the industry. In fact, at the show last Saturday I learned that my photo entry was one of the images selected in the NYC motorcycle photo contest as a winner. Mark, A friend and motovlogger from New York who used to be a member here, shared the news with me about the contest when we met up at the show.

Yeah, I was a tech for 15 years or so, and I went to a few shows to represent our shop and Ducati/Triumph. But it just was bad when people wanted to see the very latest bikes and we had to tell them that they only displayed them at the "A " show down in Amaheim.

I actually had more fun displaying and running the D16RR Desmosedici at our shop open house.

It had to have been fun to work with one of those desmodromic engines.

This shop pic was taken in 1979, installing the carbs on a 1978 Yamaha XS-1100. I think I was around 23 years old, with a head full of hair, my beard was still black.

The second picture was taken circa 1984.

I hear you Rook. I now have a white beard, still have most of my hair....so far. I just recently got down to my high school weight. But most of what used to be on my chest and shoulders is now around my waist!!!
Kofla, the Desmosedici was a beautiful bike, but really a horrible street bike. Loud, hot and stiff. Another interesting feature, to ADJUST the valves, you have to REMOVE the heads. Locking collets. The motor was very closely based on the GP bike.
But I'd love to have one just to sit on a revolving platform in my living room.
