I was going to post the same thing. Like you said even soapy water and a microfiber cloth seems to scratch the shit out of it. I'll probably just switch to an aftermarket one once it starts looking too ugly.

Hey Guys

I Have a MRA Touring screen on mine black and its alot better than stock as far as wind protection but the only draw back is it takes awhile to get because it comes from germany. Puig makes a good product but stay away from Lockhart Philips, they have alot of colors to choose but they fit like crap.

You guys can try a product called "Meguiar's"..plastic cleaner. They use it on Helicopter bubbles and such.Works very nicely.Plexus is good as well. You need to get the windscreen surface wet before you start trying to remove bugs and such.A wet rag set on the screen for several minutes will soften up the stuff...then you GENTLY wipe ONE WAY....I go up and down.ONE WAY.Otherwise...yer gonna get a bunch of micro scratches going everywhere.Same with the inside...except for the wet rag.GENTLY soften that stuff up.Before you go to wiping it with a cleaner.Meguiar's also has a plastic scratch remover/restorer product...you can use that as well.I generally use Plexus on the screen, after soaking with the towel.AND on my visor.Works wonders.

The grunge has to 'lift' off the surface before wiping...otherwise...well...you know.BTW....pebbles and road slam are gonna get ya anyway...so expect some pitting.

You can't scrub the surface with the same rag you're 'cleaning' it with.Dead bugs an shit will only scratch.Course...you guys KNOW this stuff

Try the scratch remover...see how that goes for ya...wipe ONE WAY....not swirling around. Then buff ONE WAY...new cloth...cotton.

I just cleaned mine with a microfiber cloth yesterday. NO scratches. I do use Honda Polish, and have on every bike Ive owned. best product Ive found. spray it on, wipe it off. cleans bugs, tar, you name it. also leaves behind a nice shine. for those of you that might scoff at using a Honda product on a kawi, search some other feedback on it.

I've been all GREEN since 2005 when I jumped ship from Honda.
But still only use HONDA Spray Cleaner/Polish.
Works on just about everything!
