Hello y’all! I am brand new to the forum. I recently purchased a wrecked 2016 ZX-14R at auction for a winter project the bike was layed down what looks to be on one side then onto the other. The plastics took most the damage. Motor looks fine. Oil is full coolant is full no leaks. The right clip on completely busted in half where it mounts to forks and looked to of maybe scuffed the ground on the kill switch and start button. Well I the Bike cycles the key the fuel pump primes and the dash lights up it shows the Neutral icon and the abs and oil light and all that jazz like normal however when you go to flip the switch on then hit the start button nothing happens…. There’s no clicking , no starter noise nothing! The battery is at 12 volts even so I am currently charging it full. I didn’t have my multimeter because it’s at work so with key on I took kill switch off and got my test light and tested if the switch worked on and off and there’s power going to the start button also I checked on fuses with test light, I made sure the tip over sensor was in good shape side stand switch and clutch switch I looked at but nothing looks out of the ordinary. Does anyone know what possibly might be going on here could it be the battery could have bad cells? Or maybe a switch is just faulty somewhere. I really wanna get bike atleast turned over before I buy more parts for it. Any help or advice would be appreciated! Thank you!
