Don't know for sure. I can't see it hurting anything really. I'd think it could help in a lot of situations but the extent it can help? Does it make a 150 mph accident survivable?

Some potential - and actually risky down sides are it's cable activated. So you drop you wallet, get off the bike BOOM airbag deploys &^%$ I forgot. I don't think it's available in leather, which has it's own downsides although for someone that wears textile already obviously no loss there. Also, not to the products fault really, not going to do much for extremities which is probably where the most injury occurs.

Thanks Vic but I was looking for actual experience using the products on the street.. Motogp guys have crashed at insane speeds and picked their bikes up using simlar equipment ..It takes 50 or more pounds of pull to detonate . They also offer Black and brown leather.. All covered on the website along with a few testimonials. The website testimonials are mostly low speed which is why I was asking about experience by street riders here..

I appreciate that. I've never seen anyone on a forum with one at this point. The other concern I had is what if you have an accident, and just due to the nature of the accident don't separate enough from the bike to pull the trip cord?

Not separating from the bike was the only thing I could see causing a problem..
Another company makes a similar device with sensors but not sure how they actually work.

Have you read the review at webbikeworld? I generally enjoy his reviews as they seem to be less flash and more fact.

I personally do not have experience with this jacket.
