Center stand

Kawi center stand installation, my findings:
The CS itself is relatively light. I think (not verified by scale) that the hand grip for lifting is the heaviest piece of the hardware. Everything fit perfectly. All hardware from Mama Kaw was labelled and assembly straight forward. The lower (rear) fairing piece is eliminated by this installation. :-( Getting the spring installed was the most difficult part of the job for me. I offer a hint on that: Clip the spring in position, install left side mount/pivot bolt then make a sacrificial to whatever mechanical deities you favor and install the right bolt.

Finished installation looks good. Bike is easily lifted onto center stand. Well tucked in. Not sure how much lean angle will be restricted.

Lift grip (very nicely made)
Center stand
Rear tire clearance (about 2")(disregard the original tires, mfg 43rd week of 2010!)
New hoops (I sure hope the RS III's live up to Dunlop's claims. :-)

Well, I have the images, now to figure out how to [post]. There will be a brief intermission while I read the instructions....

Apologies: I can get the images "uploaded" and they show up as thumbnails but do not make it to the posted thread.

I used the Brocks stand stop. Perfect fit and holds stand about 1/4 inch away from pipe.

Poor quality on the pics, sorry...

Hey C14! I'm in the mountains this week (Suches area). Will get a pic as soon as I get home. Really simple little devise. Perfectly fitted and completely functional.

BTW: ZX14 is a handfull in the curves. Gotta learn to ride all over again. :-)

Don't have a clue of how these pics will be oriented once posted but here goes. When I took them, gravity dictated "up". :-)

Since I bought the ABBA stand my centre stand will be going up for sale. I have no idea what to ask for it, but it ships from Canada.....only thing you will need is the exhaust gaskets.

Zeebeast. The Kawasaki kit comes with exhaust gaskets for the mufflers as they need to be removed. The grab handle and plastic piece for the lock under seat are still on the bike. I have just been lazy about removing them.
