will a gen 1 seat fit a gen 2 ?

Hi guys, I came across a nice 2nd hand seat with ducktail but the add says its for a 2009 model zx14, I have a 2013 zx14r, can any one tell me please, Will it fit on ?

Heya Maddy.You 'might' need to replace the central hooking mechanism,but not sure.I know you do for a concours seat.

I'm pretty sure they're interchangeable. Hub knows. have a look at an aftermarket seat online and see what years it fits. If it fits all, a gen1 seat should fit a gen2.

Hi Maddy,
I'm using my 2008 on my current 2017. A narrow front padding changed around 2013 or before, not sure on the trivia point, but I swapped my same 2008 on my 2013. Yes, all seat pans are interchangeable as far as I can tell. Clicks right in place.
