Have a heart
01/22/22 10:20 AM

Welp, even though several of you think I have a lump of coal where my heart is, I'm going to prove
you wrong. Next week I may be going in for open heart surgery. I guess they discovered that I have
a heredity defect in my heart valve. There's supposed to be 3 flaps. 2 of mine are fused together.
So the valve is leaking like a sieve. This explains why I've always had bad circulation in my toes.
Doctor said there's a 1% chance I could have a stroke during the surgery and come out a blithering idiot.
Which is the same as saying nothing will be different. I'm not looking forward to a 2 month recovery,
but as long as I come out of surgery alive and kicking I'm not going to complain. Obviously I may be off
the forum for a bit, so carry on with your usual shenanigans.

Really good luck mate.
We are all here sending best wishes.

This procedure and 2 months recovery sucks dogs balls but if it improves your quality of life ongoing its well worth the investment.
Mind you they tell me the drugs they give you are pretty good.

Stay strong and always remember.
Your 14 will always be there and waiting for you!

Which is the same as saying nothing will be different.

Sounds like advanced techniques in 2-3 weeks, unless you need a new seat, new valves for that leak. Figures you keep chadding like you do... 'and come out a blithering idiot'... then Nancy is the chad for you, then yes you haven't changed one bit.

Only thing is, you came back with so much energy, you needed to stop after the white stuff cleared the walkway to the mailbox for the Dr's bill.

Mad, if you want to talk to a rider who had open heart surgury, shoot me a PM with your phone number and I'll give you a call. I came through it quite well and I'm sure you will too.
Best of luck!

Been reading quotes from chinese to American Indians. One I came across was not willing it, thinking positive, but it was going to happen anyway, and you wishing had nothing to do with it.

Kind of weird as I see both sides, me on the line saying 'I'm going to lead this 6hr race.' As far as I can tell by a video of that race, I'm the next rider [being second], and I was sure to pass this guy, but he pitted for gas is my guess, and as far as I can tell, I am pretty sure I lead that race till I came in for gas.

So how MAD comes out is; it is what it is. Since there are two philosophies, I'll stick with a will in the head that makes it happen. Too many coincidences for me thinking positive.
