Can anyone tell from looking at it if it will fit my 2014? The seller is not that close but if it will work and I can get it for $50 I may take a ride. They do not know the model#:

The forks adjust so it will probably fit. Measure the distance between your spools.

This is not going to be the safest stand to use without a helper. You can put a brick under the sidestand to hold the bike vertical while you engage the forks to the spools but you will need to let it back down again too. The normal way to do it to hold the bike up by the tail. I wouldn't risk it alone.

I am waiting for the seller to tell me the width adjustment, but are you saying it is for the front only? I just want a stand for chain maintenance.

That stand is for lifting the real wheel but most people don't want to use a rear handle lift for a bike as heavy as the 14. You must stand behind the bike to hook the lifting forks onto the spools and the bike must be vertical while you do this. How will you hold the bike up with one hand on the tail while you roll the stand in from behind with the other hand to hook the spools? If it was a smaller bike you might balance it vertical with one hand. I think I would be nervous with anything but a small dirtbike.

I would take it for $50. Pit Bulls are nice and sturdy and a rear handle comes in handy for some jobs but I would not try to use it alone. Maybe if you put a brick or some 2x4s under the side stand to hold it vertical or if you have a wheel chock. Setting it back down would seem to be a challenge. I would want to have a lifting helper the first 10 times I use this...until you know what to expect.

You can get used to any stand but a side handle rear Pit Bull stand is a lot safer to use. Only drawback is that the handle can get in the way down on the floor just a bit when you are working LH side. An Abba would be ideal....but for $50, I would grab this if the wheels look good and it's not real rusty or anything like that.

I also had the same concern, but it is easy to do if you remove the seat, hold the bike up by the tail before installing the stand. Make sure the sidestand is down. It works for me without any assistance.

I would not attempt to use it by myself - I would have my wife straddle it and hold her steady while I lift it from the rear; I did the same for the mobile mechanic that was over last week and it was fine.

I love my centerstand ;)

Great stand and easy to use alone..u guys are overthinking this.

perhaps see if another seller has a forward facing handle pit bull.i love mine...total control of the bike at all times.

I took some measurements and if I can get there before it sells to someone else I will buy it if it appears to work.

Using my Heindl stand even scared me at first and that one is about as safe as it gets. It depends on how much experience you have lifting bikes on stands.

Easy...even for us old (experienced)guys...:)
Fairly level ground needed to prevent mishaps!
Locktite bolts holding spools. Adjust width of stand to fit bike.
Grab a piece of scrap 2"x8", about 18" long.
Put it on the ground next to the side stand.
Stand the bike up and slide the wood under the side stand and let the bike rest on it with bars straight.
Walk around to the rear and roll the stand forward so the left contact point engages the spool and the one on the right is vertically lined up with the spool.
From the left rear of the bike:
Put a little pressure on the tail to the left and push the handle of the stand down.
The right side spool will contact the stand as the bike gently shifts to verticle.
Push handle on stand down till the bike is resting comfortably.
Look at the wood...is the stand about centered? If not, move it so the side stand will contact it when u lower the bike. Once done, The bike will be resting on the wheels and stand...remove the wood.
I can put my bike up on the stand in less than 30 seconds without rushing and haven't dropped it yet.
Spend a little time practicing and you'll feel much more confident.
I had a factory center stand on my 07 which was great on the road but the rear stand at home is really easy.

Hanks, watch for that front wheel behavior, while you lift and lower the bike
it sometimes swings away from the ideal alignment, causing weight imbalance, or side stand missing the wood... or perhaps even worse, side stand folding back?

Good point...thought I covered that with keeping the bars straight.
Once the bike is on the stand, center the piece of wood to the foot of the side stand.
Lower the bike slowly while gently putting a little pressure towards the left.
The bike settles down with no hysterics.
I don't want to over describe such a simple process...
Try it a few times with 2 people to gain confidence if need be...

Wood under the side stand is key as the bike is almost sitting verticle with it.

i'd STILL go with a forward facing handle stand/lift.Believe me,being able to have full control over the bike is a no brainer.Hell...they aren't that expensive.Ebay.You can find one on there...most likely a used one.I would NEVER consider a rear stand that you have to try and go through acrobatics with just so you won't have yer baby fall over.Not worth it(to me).I cut the end off mine,and have a bar extension in there.You can lean over the bike while holding it and lining up the spools,then the lift.It's SO easy and safe(for the bike).Once she's in the forks,she's NOT going anywhere.

I hear you but I will NEVER attempt to put it on the stand alone. I'll buy the Pit Bull, the Yellow one or the Harbor Freight one; their is a video of the latter on YouTube that shows it being used on a ZX14 very easily and it only costs $32 with tax.

Hankszx and Bobz, I too came to the ZX14 side. It's what Honda should've built to replace the XX. I bought a new Pit Bull with the removable rear handle. I use Hanks way to put it on the Pit Bull by myself, using the 2 x 4. Taking the seat off to have a little something grab on to is something I'll try. Otherwise, practice a few times with a spotter and always be slow and careful. Personally, I would not go with the yellow one, but the other Pit Bull would be ok. The new one I bought has a longer handle making it pretty easy.
