Look at how oval #4 header is... Right at both radiator lines cross over that number 4 pipe. Look at the bottom of the smaller pipe. They bunched that over, maybe to clear the outside skirt oilerail?

There also seems to be a servo or actuator, possibly a PAIR update? I'd have to follow the plumbing to know. Case had to be revised for the skirt plumbing. Head had to be revised for the stem extension. Internally, who knows? Outside for sure is non-14-to-R

Its an optical illusion , im betting my money they fit not because i have an exhaust id like to use on it but because brock is saying theyll fit and from looking at it i think so too , i just want to say that everybody that speculated about this bike and werent even close to being right and think its not anything to talk about he ones that still want to say they dont think its nothing special it wont be too far away and theyll be saying how great it is

Plus, you 'turbo encapsulators,' my guess is the half ABS lines and where is that Dot4 box inside the chassis; might take up your space? And don't worry about brake fluid changing. That goes thru the box too. Might be a bleeder on the ABS box to purge a Donny out of it.

You can make the pipe round at the head. That speed at the round won't slow down. By the time it hits the narrow pipe, it slowed down even if it was round there = No harm, no foul = How much hp did they make with one squish pipe?

Soon Seno....soon
You don't suppose MAYBE...the editors changed that little part of the pic to kinda "hide" something they didn't want anyone else to see?...until they actually HAD one?Kinda looks like something strange going on there.I'd almost swear there's a second pipe running either IN that header pipe,or down along the motor side of it.Look right at that lower radiator hose, where it crosses across the pipe.See in there.Looks like a 'stamped in' shape for a pipe or something.Running on up to the header mount flange.I mean...see the flange up top...doesn't it look like it 'could' be big enough to have some sort of sensor or something in the collar of it.It just doesn't look like a simple pipe collar there to me.02 sensor maybe...something along those lines?

ROFL you guys are staring at photos so long you start seeing things.
Original topic. Yes, the header that fits my 2008 will bolt right up to a 2012 and have clearance all the way down and under. The engine changed, but not that much.
And my CT-DUALS are big enough diameter to satisfy Brock on the flow issue.

Oh, quit spoiling the fun.
Does the R part numbers have:
1. the same engine exhaust pipe gaskets at each end of the pipes?
2. the same steel and friction numbers?
3. the same clutch and right crank cover gaskets?
4. the same swing arm pivot parts that hook to the swing, i.e., the needle bearings, swing axle part numbers.
5. the same output transmission bearings and counter shaft output shaft seal?
Knows what the R has the 14 does not:
a. have the same wire harness and ecu.
b. have the same head and related cam/valve/shim bucket/springs/etc.
c. have the same head gasket with the oil jackets taking the place of those water pockets.
d. have the same crank/rods/pistons/wrist pins.
f. have the same final output ratio as the 14?
Playing with the have and have-knots, will tie up some interchangeability. So far, even if the trans ratio output is different, we have the same bearing carriers down each shaft, we have a gear box, sans all the fancy back brake stab housing built in... And is that clutch outer gear the same fly cut as the '08 up to the 0h11? Because if 0h12 swapped back to the 06-07' ring cut?
And here is the very simple; point A to point B measurement. Bring a tape measure to the show. Find a point on the 14 that will match the R's same distance. Use frame to bottom of spigot, or use bottom of engine bolt to bottom of spigot opening ledge.
And here is another, we don't need a measuring tape. We bring a coat hanger/aluminum welding rod, jammed over the spigot's lower shelf, bending the rod to a small 'L' that hooks into the base of the exhaust opening. Snip off point B at a reference point you can drop straight down on an oil sump bolt. Bend a hook at bottom B with an 'L' to it. This way, you pull out the rod, send it into the spigot, let it drop under the bolt.
If it has a gap? If it is not slamming right under it as you know how well you made it fit the 14. Then, it should act like, 'parts is parts' as if made to fit there. If the L has gap under the bolt, that is a plus(+) for room. If the rod's L hits the bolt in any way, other than under it? Filter gap is now the Y. Spigot to spigot spacing is the next rod to make for the X factor to happen = She fits the R for right on par with the '06 platform to 2012.
Fish food for thought?

Man this is fucking torture... LOL, I want my bike already! Dealer asked if he can put mine out on Demo while I am building it this winter. I said yes as long as it is kept separate and he keeps everyone's hands & bodies off of it.

I was kinda lookin at those mufflers there....you guys don't suppose that end cap is removable do ya?Kinda looks like it may be...there's some bolts or somethin in that cap.Be nice if Kawasaki designed that deal to be able to remove maybe some of the innards there...open that pipe up some?

Heh,heh.........torture, you say!
Not me, not much........I enjoy the anticipation!
Of course, I don't ride in December-February and I still have Old Blue to ride thru November. Now, I would love to take the new R out and open it up in the crisp November early morning fog over the lake roads; but come snow and salt and ice and freezing rain its gonna be snug under cover in the corner of the den; a Christmas present to myself to myself to open on a nice sunny March day.
Just knowing its there sleeping/waiting will be enough to warm the cockles of...........!
Well, you get my drift.
