Yeah, I too missed this thread. Welcome to the club, Rook. It goes with the sport. A Lucky Boy is he... when you can walk away from it. I think I can count about 16 career get-offs and you begin to know your body. So I have a few questions and suggestions having a little experience with the other side of the sport.
Hand wise, you can move the fingers, yes? Typing is not slowing you down, unless you are a one finger type (pun).
Broken bone wise, anything on the body or digits look black and blue? I see that yellow color, I know I broke something. And it kind of like has a lot of pressure pain of its own. Nagging pain while moving the body part.
Let me take that back. My lower (cough) was so black and blue, you can't break a bone there if said boner occurred. Tank looked worse once Cody rubbed across the 5.8. Just saying, the constant high pain threshold is more that concentrated bone area. Can't cast your ribs so nature sort of finds its way back. Chipped a wrist bone and saw the float away in the x-ray. Saw it again and went back in place. Not a Dr., but I think if you don't cast a bad break... that's something different.
For sure I'd X the hands. Break that cashew looking bone [look it up] and not screw it back on, you'll have a bad time down the road throttle/brake/clutch wise I hear.
I saw the hand and knees. Those are going to grow back, but you might feel they seem tight once you bend. They are nice and black hard, right? I call mine street tattoos once that scab falls off. I know the guys over at the busa site say to use some cream, but I let nature do its thing and found out... the more I showered [plenty of water not cream] it seemed to heal faster. I'd be soaking those hands in some warm water and override the stinging. That's the soaker/shower suggestion(s). Home remedy is water and time.

Bike wise, are we talking about having insurance coverage at a minimum? You eat the crash/total? Used pod is the big ticket if not new. Where the front engine Y brackets are... we see any cracks at the frame around that area? Front end (not forks) takes the hit, that neck will move the energy right at that flex point. Energy keeps moving back, rear frame [I forget where] will have a crack. Shows up well against a black frame.
When you take the forks off, look for a crease at the lower pinch areas, meaning, right now you can drop the one leg down so you look for a crease... back to energy taking out the upper and lower triple trees. Go look at the fork stops right now. One stopper now looks like this / and the other stop is upright, or not bent meaning?
Where you go lookup the KBB price of a trade-in and weigh the parts against the trade value and do you now ebay the salvage or??? Because you can eliminate all that shit ram crap. Open frame windows to the air cleaner. That goop glue vid and bend one thick welding rod wire to glue an old harley headlight bucket and a headlight bulb at NAPA all day long.
Frame passes, front end passes, pod is salvageable with a new mount half to be bolted back on, the new dash pod hanger... It's a runner in the cheap seats.
Ain't split seconds before your eyes and not a fucking thing you can do, but enjoy the experience of speed and how fast shit happens? I love that kind of shit... when you are still alive to slow the fuck down or not.
