G'day from Oz ! Have been browsing around your forum for a while after recently buying a blue '06 ZX14 as a repairable write off at auction for AU$4,000. It has very minimal damage, just scrapes down the right side and damaged pick up cover, other than that it is in fantastic condition with 30,000k's ! I started to repair and paint myself, but it's too good, so will go to a pro and hopefully will get a good colour match. Can't wait to get the pick up cover so I can take it for a spin !!!! I'm 55yo and have been riding bikes for the last 35+ years, live at Tweed Heads, NSW. I always owned Kawasakis ! Just love 'em !!! Bikes I have owned since '76 are, Z1A 900, Z1000, GPZ1100 B1, GPZ900R ninja, ZRX1100, and now my daily ride is a '95 GPZ1100. I have a few projects in my "mancave", 3 x gpz900r's and a Z1A ............. taking forever to finish ! As I am old skool, I am not really up with fuel inj bikes, so will be asking lots of stupid questions .............
Stupid question #1 What is the exact blue colour / code ? Kawasaki site says candy thunder blue ( 235 ) and colorite says candy thunder blue ( 386 )
Stupid question #2 I have purchased a pair of used Yoshi ss tri oval slip ons in great condition, will I have to change anything ?
Looking forward to asking many more stupid questions !
Cheers, ................ Noel

Welcome.
Nice bike to repair. Glad to see your going new school.
Candy Thunder Blue Pearl from any of the colour charts will be correct.
Of course matching is best done by a paint mixer. Not a website order.
Most will be close for small scuffs but big panel areas need a pro to get 100%.
Enjoy it and get on it..

Thanks for the welcome guys ! Might take you up on that offer Dave when I get the bike painted and rego'd. Will probably run into some probs with rego as the bike is a repairable write off and I live in NSW where there is no such thing as repairable anymore, they are all classed as stat write offs and can't be re - registered.
Stupid question # 3 ...........
Fitted the Yoshi's yesterday, do the brackets attach to the outside or inside of the pillion footrest hangers ? and, does the inside of the tri ovals supposed to be vertical or on an angle ? Will try to put some pics on soon, will be going away for xmas holidays tomorrow.
Stupid question #4 ...... What does " flies out " mean ?

Was going to post some pics, but, while away on holidays decided to take a pic of the family on Christmas eve, so, put the camera on a tripod on the bookcase, set the timer and got back into position and BANG ! Bloody thing fell 5 foot onto the floor, bending the lens !!!!! Bugger !!!! $500 down the drain ! so, not only couldn't I take pics on holidays, smorkling on the Great Barrier Reef, can't take pics of the bike now either ! Ah well ............ Shit happens ............
