M4 Dual Retro Slip Ons! I've owned my 2012 ZX14R for a little over 2 months and I really like the look of the stock exhaust, however, they absloutely weigh too much. Since I've owned this bike I've purchased 3 set of slip ons in the search of an exhaust system that first looks good, sound great with the added benefit of shedding weight.
Delkevic come in at a decent price and they sound just a tad bit better than stock exhaust(w/ baffle out) with a low rumble. I purchased the polished cans which I felt that I made a mistake soon thereafter because it just wasn't the look I was seeking for my bike's color scheme.
Voodoo Dual Performance Slip ons are black which ticked the color box for me, and they are louder than the Delkies without being obnoxious. My butt dyno indicated that my bike responding well in the low/mid range when I had them installed. However, something still wasn't right and the hunt continued. Which led me to the M4's
M4 Dual Slip Ons sound phenomenal and they aren't loud when riding like a SC Project CRT type of loud. I contribute this mainly to the fact that the exit point sits further back than a Coffman/Voodoo style exhaust, but let me tell you the M4 isn't by no means slouching in the sound department....sounding great throughout the entire RPM range. To boot they look great on the bike and I was able to shed even more weight than I did with the Delkies/Voodoo exhausts. I wish I would've zeroed in on the M4s from the get go and saved myself the money and agony of owning multiple slip ons before I landed on the "just right" slip on system for me.
Now on to which windscreen should I settle on...Stock vs Zero Gravity DB vs Puig DB vs MRA...ughh!!
