Rook,
Are you still in Mwke? My dealer just got my 14R in yesterday's shipment. I arranged to go over tomorrow to "take possession".
So, don't know about Mwke but they have reached the Northern suburbs of Chi-town. I'll find out if he has one for the floor as well when I get mine.
Plan to inspect and leave in storage til Spring now that it is winter here in the midwest. Love to take it out this coming Sunday if the wx prediction is correct; but will resist. Want nice warm and clean roads for a focussed and careful break in run period when I do pick it up.
Cheers,
pb

I don't care how people get worked up and blab on about why they just are not getting one it is an exciting must have bike. My old one runs great and probably will for a long time and is only worth less than 4k but worth much more to me, its too heavy, Duc is better bla bla. I'll sell my house and live in a trailer then not quite but screw it how did you justify the first one? It will satisfy the need for a high power comfort express with no equal.

Thanks for the congratulations, Grn14!
Well, I took ownership of the 14R last night.
Opened the crate and inspected it; no damage to belly fairing or anything else. Love the look of those Metzlers and the black wheels. The blue this year is a shade or two lighter than my 07; I really don't like it as well but I still like the blue over the green or black; just my personal pref.
My dealer took three 14R's in this shipment; a green one that is sold and is also going right back into storage til Spring as I did with mine. He also has a black one and it is up and running and should be sitting on his floor today awaiting a buyer. I was able to play with it a bit at the warehouse. Those pipes seem to breath pretty well and the engine sound is definitely better than from the old original pipes on my 07! Still the pipes are the only thing that I really don't care for about the bike. I plan to run them for a season, but may not be able to resist replacing them with Brock's, Two Bros, Yosh or Akro or something!
So if anyone reading this lives in the North of Chicago area and want to see one or inquire about purchase, Nielsen's Enterprises in Lake Villa, Illinois has one on the floor and three more promised on the way from Kawi.
Grn14, I see that you are parking yours due to weather catching up to you; I was actually somewhat glad on the way to work this early am to see the snow and dodge the salt truck/plow since it confirmed my decision to put the R back in storage. Dlr said I could arange to visit any time with just a bit of notice, LOL!
I don't think it will come to that but depends on how bad the winter gets!!
Just think of that shovel load in the smilie as dirty salty snow.

Kawnow said "it is an exciting must have bike"....ya...that's how I feel. After riding her....no way would I look back.Very happy with my choice.Working with the new Ktrc and slipper and power is gonna really be a blast.Suspension feels just awesome.Ride quality is over the top IMO.
Glad ya got yours Paul...with no damage to boot! You're gonna love this bike...85 miles on mine and it's just amazing.Put away here now for the Winter...new oil...new filter.Polished.READY....to rock on come Spring. No way could I leave my precious sitting at the dealer.I HAD to bring her home.I'm gonna give the pipes a try this next season...just to see how she feels after she's been ridden a while.I've got a set of CS ONEs here..the midpipes don't fit(lengthwise),but Vance and Hines are gonna send me a set of midpipes soon as they fab the new ones up.But I think I'm gonna wait on the install till I see what these stock pipes act like. They do sound very nice. And I certainly didn't notice any weight from em.I think they're breathing very well also. We'll see.Glad some of us have bought this new machine. We'll have plenty to talk about come the new year I'm sure.
Your Blue....very very nice.I watched a video on your Blue Baby...some dealer somewhere made a presentation video for his shop.using his new Blue arrival.Lookin really great.....I LOVE the styling on this new bird.Really...I think it really looks great and fitting for the upgraded bike.

Congrats on the new bikes guys. Be careful on those cold roads, don't want to hear any oops reports this year. I'm about to turn 600 miles on mine and have a filter on order so will be dumping to oil this weekend. Already comfortable on the new girl and ready to open it wide and feel the rush!!
