With a set of side cutters, snip a wire coat hanger wire to said length. That length would be something like the inner case being flat somewhere. So when you bend the L of the wire, you want it to butt against the case for stability. Snip the end so it just touches the old sprocket. Now install the offset sprocket and see if it butts up against the same touched position.
Note, the teeth need to have the same wide thickness:
1. If you flip the sprocket and the offset touches the wire rod like the OEM, there you go.
2. If the flip is at a distance, no can fit.
3. If the other flipped side can be moved in past the wire rod, then shim the sprocket with washers till it matches the touch points.
4. If the flip is the boss end being on the thread side, the lock washer and nut spun on, where all the threads are taken up on the shaft, but threads showing at the nut; because the boss took up the other threads needed, then no can fit = Return product.
