Update:

Ordered and paid for the brake lines (3 line set)on April 27. Prior to the purchase the dealer assured me that they would be shipped the next day or by the end of the week at the most.

Unfortunately, I didn't realize I was purchasing them from a Core Moto dealer and not Core Moto directly until it was too late.

On April 29 I asked the dealer if he had any info on my lines. The response was "Afternoon, Michael I just was informed there 7-10 days on orders. Was an increase of orders last week that was unexpected.."

I responded that I was a bit upset that there was now a 7-10 day wait period and since I had been assured that they would go out by the end of the week could he possibly contact Core Moto and expedite the process as I need them by May 9th for a trip I'm taking.

While I was awaiting a response from the dealer I checked E Bay for the lines and lo and behold, there they were! Guaranteed to my house in FOUR days!!!

Forward to May 3rd. I hadn't received any response from my dealer and HAD I ordered the lines from E Bay (on the 3rd) I would have had them by the 8th if not sooner.

So, I contacted Core Moto directly on May 3.

I stated that I had ordered a set of lines from a dealer and did they have them in their system?

On May 4th they responded that they did indeed see my order #47037 and that they were working on order # 47002 and my order should go out in the next couple of days (which now puts them shipping it out on May 5th).

I then replied that I had observed an E Bay ad that guaranteed four day shipping to my location.

Core Moto then replied, "Yes, we ship E Bay orders faster than website orders and if YOU contact ME on Wednesday I'll give you tracking information."

On May 6th (Thursday) I contacted the dealer since he hadn't contacted me with any updates and received the response "Was shipped out already Should be there Saturday morning according to tracking"

So it is now Saturday May 9 and I may or may not get the lines even today.

I went with Core Moto in an effort to support a site member's business as well as to support Core Moto, "the little guy".

I wish I hadn't went with either after this experience.

BUYER BEWARE

It's probably an isolated incident. I think I know the supplier you worked with. I had a very good experience working with him earlier this year. That sucks about your trip though. Hope you get your lines today or else, I hopeyou saved your old lines. What a hassle to have to put old lines on and then take them off a second time.

As I also stated in the email, if I knew they were that far behind because of corona virus(lack of workers)I would have let you know, but i did not know..

I did not scam you so I don’t know what the buyer beware is about? You paid for a product and received it, yes it was delayed due to factors I can’t control, no difference if the ups truck caught fire in route.. its not something I can can control..

Hope you got them Saturday as tracking mentioned if you think I deliberately slowed your order so you can’t attend a trip I am sorry you feel that way..
ride safe and be safe ..

Herb.

Hello Herb,

The "buyer beware" comment was intended more for Core Moto not you.

I do not think you scammed me or deliberately slowed my order so I'd miss my trip.

The only issue I had with Sport Bike PC was the lack of communication.

In my world if a customer sends me an e mail asking questions about their order I respond to it promptly even if it is just to say "I don't know" or "I'm checking on it."

That's was my only issue with Sport Bike PC.

As for Core Moto, here's is what I sent them today which pretty much sums it up:

"I placed and paid for my order on April 27 through a vendor (you have proof) and now I have to wait 7-10 days BEFORE it even ships!

You then state that an E Bay order would take precedence over an actual dealer's order (my order) and is guaranteed to my location in only four days!

Can you explain this policy/reasoning to me?

Furthermore, rather than YOU (the company) contact ME (the consumer) with tracking information I'm told to contact YOU!

RIDICULOUS!

HORRIBLE customer service!

I chose Core Moto because I had heard good things about the company and was trying to support "the little guy".

I now wish I hadn't for the reasons stated above.

By the way, my lines FINALLY arrived today(May 11), 15 DAYS LATER!"

That's all I've got.
