Ram air hole covered
03/17/12 3:37 PM

Being the turbo Guy's that we are we basically have no use for any of the ram air ducts or that gaping big hole in the front of the fairing. I spoke with Dave Jones at CycleLogic (yes, he's still hanging in there) and he said there is someone out there who manufactures some type of "plug" to fill this hole. Has anyone heard or seen anything about this "plug"?

What about some other method/s to "fill" this ram air hole?????? It seems that it could potentially make the bike more aerodynamic.

???????????? I saw one at our local Bike night but could not find the rider to ask. Google searched with no luck. Any body shop will be happy to fix. I was looking into ducting the air down to rad but lost interest ???? Have to revisit.

Seem to remember someone got a japanese moulding to blank it off, a duct to the rad would be good though, best use of the available air

Thanks for the input Grin. I don't know what "Japanese moulding" is, can you elaborate please?

To get the air to the radiator should be that difficult. I think if you were to block off the circular hole on the output of the water catcher (the square piece) you could then drill holes in the bottom of the water catcher and attach some type of duct work to direct the air.....
