If it works why does the bike in the video have training wheels Hmmm. (I admit to not reading the article or listening to the video's audio)

Anyway, interesting idea ... I guess ... except that eventually this kind of tech might remove the fun of riding. We'll all be able to lean way back, text/watch videos/have a beer, while the bike zips thru curves and traffic with little to no input from the rider. I dunno, maybe this is just the way of the future.

I suppose these could have Protect-O-Blast level settings, like Full, Partial, and Off (you crazy basterd!)

LOL I thought the training wheels were a part of the system.. I guess it's just the rockets. I think it will work someday. It's going to need to self adjust to the axis of the lean angle. IDT blowing a rocket up is going to stop a slide if the bike is leaned way over. It might prevent high siding but it also might ensure a low side.

The training wheels without the rockets would work.

this thing is SOOOOO badass.Honda makes one that self stands and follows the rider as they walk.Amazing really.Wish I had 40 more years.Gonna be a great time for our kids to grow up in.

Now that they have the 5 axis IMU for inertial rates and accelerations sensing the propulsion system thrust vectoring is a good next step. I only see this applicable to racing and track usage. It could allow for additional force vectors to allow for increased corner speed. The corner speed is limited is in part by the lean angle, but to much lean angle and not enough "down" force vector to keep the contact patch from sliding out and causing a low side.

I can see another cool use, the Alien and the Doctor could use it to blast each other and push the other guy off the racing line --- way cool, combat racing!

Nahhh ... more blasters!

Lean over far enough, and wah lah you're a hover craft
