Liter Bike Recommendation

Im thinking of adding a lighter ride to the barn. Need something that will accommodate my 6'2 frame somewhat. Was focused on the ZX10R but it's feels rather compact. Any suggestions for us taller riders in that class?

If you don't necessarily want a race-wannabe bike, Kawasaki has some really fun 1,000cc bikes outside the Ninja line that are really run. I rode a Z1000 at a demo days and it was a blast, lots of go, really light, comfortable ergos, I can see why they are selling tens of thousands more of those than ZX14Rs.

^Agree.

I traded my orange 2012 Z1000 recently (for the new ZX14R), and have nothing but praise for the Z1000. Very comfortable riding position, impressive power, and it has such a unique *transformers/futuristic* styling that really stands out.

Had it not been for the new ZX14R having so much going for it, I would have kept the Z1000. Great bike in every way.

New 2013 flat black Z1000.

Love this bike, as well as the green version for 2013, as well.

The slight asthetic changes they made for 2013 are not really too noticable, but the Z on the tank looks great, as does the way they slightly rearraged the colored plastics at bit and changed the stickers on the side cowl.

Great looking bike that runs like a raped ape and the looks turns heads whereever you go. I can attest to that from riding my orange 2012. I am also 6 foot 2 and felt very comfortable on the Z1000.

If sheer performance is what you are after.................try a BMW S1000RR and see how it fits your frame..

I agree S1000RR or CBR1000 are more forgiving.
