Sorry to read about the worst Hurricane in the South of the USA and the death,missing and last the Damage.

A hurricane is different than a tornado a hurricane is the same thing as a typhoon starts as a tropical storm and usually starts off the coast of Africa or California and works its way west. Tornados are formed when a cold front and warm front collide (or high pressure system hits a low pressure system) you know hot air rises as the cold air falls causing a funnel this usually happens on the leading edge of a storm front.

Either way, your sentiments are appreciated Bean. You Ozzies are good people and remind me of what we Americans used to be not too long ago. I don't know why we have been having so much crazy catastrophe here lately. I'm just fortunate I live in a boring part of the states where the most dangerous thing we can get is a tornado but rarely are they bad. My heart goes out to our citizens who are dealing with the tragedies as we speak and I have to say I am a bit disappointed that our leader is not more concerned about us instead of gallivanting across the ocean with his imperialist 'buddies'. If I were him I would be down south standing next to fire fighters or giving a hand with rebuilding someone's town or at least standing by showing how much I care.

I live 60 miles from Joplin Missouri and we have been finding mail, x-rays, and other debris here in Springfield! The weather service is now saying it was the strongest tornado in Missouri's history(ef5)! 220+ mph winds! Debris was sent 18,000+ feet in the air! The distruction is just awe inspiring!

Just last nights news again showed Joplin Missouri Hell that Tornado just ablitterated the hole place,very sickening for all the residents their who look like they have lost everything.
