2016 Gathering of the Nortons

Spring is here and once again we start the riding season with a great event. Every year the Delaware Valley Norton Riders Association hosts the annual Gathering of the Nortons event at the Washington Crossing Historic Park in Pennsylvania.

Gathering of the Nortons is the perfect place where friends gather to reminisce and pay tribute to vintage bikes of the past. This year marks their 23rd annual event. Last year all attendance records were shattered when 1358 bikes, including 65 Nortons traveled from all over the area to attend.

chrly, this is the biggest motorcycle event in my area. And this past weekend we had the best weather so far this year.

I'm sorry I missed it I'm back in NY now so I should not be missing anymore meets now..

I must be getting old Danno, the only motorcycle events I attended this year were vintage bike shows.

Along with Barber Vintage Days, I was also fortunate to attend the COTA MotoGP along with the accompanying GNC half-Mile, both Springfield Miles, a "Class of'79" charity half-mile and the CW International Motorcycle Show in Chicago last February. Next year, when I'm retired, I hope to do even more events. AMA Vintage Days at Mid-Ohio and the National Motorcycle Museum in Iowa are on my bucket list, as well as a return visit to the Peoria TT.
