2012 zx14r PCV question
07/07/15 3:18 PM

Good Day gentlemen just wanted some help getting some confirmation on a PCV question. I'm looking at getting my exhaust upgraded to a Hindle full system. The guy that is selling it to me states i don't need a PCV. Some others say i do.
The guy even called Hindle direct to ask the question. They said it will work without a PCV. Can anyone please tell me what I should do. Would really appreciate it.

I dont know much about the Hindle system you are looking at but I can tell you I changed the stock pumpkin launches to Yoshi R-77's on my Gen 2 with no PCV required.
All good.

Back when I had a Gen 1 I made the same change with again no problem.

The only reason I got a PCIII on the Gen 2 was I removed the flies and that leans the AFR our substantially and so needed to be corrected.

I think you'll be right with new full system and no PCV.

Lets see what the other boys here say...

The guy that is selling it to me states i don't need a PCV.

Correct.

Some others say i do.

Incorrect. Others can't decipher that vacuum pull from a carb jet is the lag. Fuel injection is timed and pressurized so no fuel lag. The clueless have no clue that you WOT the throttle, there is an accel assist and the AFR jumps to 13a all safe...

called Hindle direct... They said it will work without a PCV.

Correct. Back to, I have an intake vac, thousands of calculations happen before that valve opens. You have vac/throttle opening/crank speed = I got your fuel delivery, because home he does not need a pipe at all.
