Yea Im gonna miss the 2011 Romans. That bike was actually very lucky. Not a week after I bought it a WW2 Vet who was lost pulled over at the bike shop asking for directions and ended up backing into because he was blocked in. I was in the shop talking to a buddy when I heard someone yell my name and say that someone just backed into my bike.
Turns out he was pretty much deaf (Hearing aids in both ears) and could barely see. Being from Mass he was lost and alittle nervous. Hes lucky thats the only bike he backed into. If he would have knocked mine over it probably would have cause a ripple effect...
He had a Purple Heart plate and a WW2 cover on his head. As soon as I saw that I said Sir dont worry about a thing the bike is fine. Scratches give it character. Well after he calmed down we shook hands and I said I probably owe you 100 of those we could be speaking German if it wasnt for you and Id be riding one of those 1000RR.. We both laughed, but I was def glad he didnt knock it over.
Further inspection showed that he had scratched the fck out of fender and lower portion of the fairing and bent the kickstand almost to the point where the bike would have spun over on itself. I will say that the bike looks very cool cause it leans over alittle more than an undamaged kickstand.
With that and all the close calls on it with RI traffic I feel that baby was lucky as hell. Hopefully the school teacher picked it up or is serious about buying her. She runs sweet and shifts pretty great.... Ill def miss her as I put alot of work into her and alot of TLC.
That picture is before I added the carbon fiber pieces. She has a new cf fendor (Old one scratched) afew other pieces along with the cf cowling. With the new HID's and LED running lights she looks mean as shit at dusk... That bike should sell pretty fast if that teacher doesnt pick it up this week...
Creeps.
