2011 ZX-10r for sale or trade "The Garthbike"
06/26/12 8:04 AM

Garth is selling his 2011 Kawasaki ZX-10r because he wants a ZX-14R so I asked him if he wanted me to post it for sale/trade here on the ZX-14 forum so here it is!!!

3,700 Miles

Asking Price: $16,000.00 or trade for 2012 ZX-14R only!!!!!

Hi everyone, well I am listing my bike up for sale since I am wanting to buy a new zx14 and start a new project. I’m sure a lot of you know about this bike but I’ll give as much details as possible here if someone is REALLY interested in purchasing a well modded zx-10r… as well as “popular” if that counts for anything lol.

Let me start with the mod list along with what these parts normally cost brand new if someone wanted to replicate this motorcycle.

Power Commander V - $300.00
Guhl Motors Flash - $375.00
Removed Secondary throttle plates and shaft
Kawi Kit Cams and thin head gasket - $450.00
Graves Full Titanium Exhaust - $1825.00
Graves Mirror Block Off's - $40.00
Dynojet stand alone ignition quick shifter - $350.00
Hayabusa front fender (for top speed runs)
Billet aluminum adjustable kick stand - $100.00
BMC Race Air fitter - $90.00
Removed Kleen air system
Re-routed crank case breather
LED headlight mod
10k HID's - $40.00
Home built fender eliminator
Solo Seat cowl - $140.00
Shorai Lithium Battery - $110.00
Marchesini Magnesium 10 Spoke wheels - $3,800.00
Braking full floating front rotors - $600.00
Braking wave rear rotor - $100.00
Titanium rotor bolts front and rear - $80.00
Titanium Caliper Bolts - $80.00
World Wide Bearings Ceramic Wheel Bearings - $425.00
World Wide Bearings Ceramic Transmission Bearings - $435.00
DID ERV3 520 chain 36,37,38,39,40, 15,16,17,18 sprockets - $280.00
Robinson Industries Low 1st Gear - $270.00
Cycle Concepts Drag Pack Clutch Pack - $155.00
Barenett Clutch Springs - $40.00
Inner Clutch Hub spacer (eliminates slipper) - $90.00
Shimmed Oil Pressure Relief Valve
Removed Internal Counterbalancer
PR2 Headwork - $450.00
Kawi Race Engine Bearings - $225.00
APE lightened and balanced crankshaft - $250.00
Zero Gravity light smoke double bubble - $100.00
Vortex Clipons with carbon fiber tubes - $180.00
Pazzo shortie levers - $175.00
CBR1000 dogbone link for lowering about 2.75”
Misc Titanium hardware - $50.00
Total = $11,605

Now we all know you could replicate it for about half the price of Retail these days with used parts or finding a hook up but say you get all these parts for half price your at right about $6,000 bucks in aftermarket parts PLUS all the time and extra money to do all the work to the motor. Most shops charge about $1000.00 to do any kind of rebuilding of an engine.

With all that said the cheapest 2011 zx10r I have seen on the market has been $10,000. Add on top the $6,000 for mods and that’s right at the price I would like to be with this bike.

So I’ll give a little more history to my bike . on 11/24/2010 my dealership (Broward Motorsposrts of Palm Beach) took delivery of the FIRST 2011 ZX10r. On 11/29/10 I was riding her home. The mods started to happen very quickly and I worked my best to find all the power inside this beast. I contacted my buddy Don Guhl of Guhl Motors to have him read out the ECU and unlock even more power eventually but I had to go to some interesting lengths to remove the speed limiter using a 555 timer and some resistors to trick my speedo into thinking I wasn’t going that fast.

My youtube channel alone should be a mark of how much exposure online this bike has gotten… over 2 MILLION video views and 1,000 subscribers! The bike has been in quite a few magazines which you can see below in and out of the states. With removing some weight with the Magnesium wheels and doing some suspension and aerodynamic tricks I was able to bust past 200mph mark VERY easily. So far today my records on this bike are 206mph on motor and 208mph with a small shot of nitrous.

As for performance I have been able to squeeze out 199hp on MR12 on my dyno and 190hp on pump gas and 193hp on E85, I have many fuel maps and many different set ups available to you to to choose from.

I will warn any buyers right now there are some very slight and minor cosmetic imperfections on the bike but other than those shes a beauty and performs amazingly!

Below are some pictures of her stock height as well as some links to magazine articles and youtube videos. Hoping to really get what I want out of this bike as she’s been very well known to kick some serious ass and have a TON of work done to her.

Very Firm on the asking price of $16,000.00 I would drop to $14,500 without the marchesini’s but that is it. If I cannot sell it as a total package I’d rather part it out but I will NOT be doing that at this time.

Serious buyers only please. I am willing to travel to deliver the bike pending whatever deal we have worked out but please do not low ball me offers as I will not respond to them.
