oil leak

Anybody else get a few drops of oil out the breather hose onto the ground after a ride? Doesn't happen all the time.... is it normal, abnormal, or don't worry about it?

Regards, John

How high is your oil level ? Mine is on the top line, I meant to fill it in between the lines, but no problems so I
left it. it should be I'm the bottle though, not leaking ?

The level is just below the top line, so it's not overfilled......I mean we're just talking a couple of drops here, maybe I'm just being paranoid. It's still under warranty, but, I don't want to have to take it to the stealership!!!

Were you robust on the throttle? cara makes a good point. Windmill that oil level that high, it creates pressure to relieve and on the ground she be. You can let it keep dripping and let it level on its own, or drain the oil and filter, install the exact amount from the manual where it say how much to refill from draining both the engine and filter.

Start the bike for one minute or less. Level the bike after 3 minutes or less. Sitting on both wheels, that's your level.

I've had oil film in my airbox and I'm sure it drained out of the tube as well. I keep the oil below the top line at the sight glass.

Running hard, I think you are better keeping it above half>>>closer to the top line. Adequate oil for lubing during high demands on the engine is only one thing to consider. Shifting is smoother with more oil than less. Also, you may loose enough that you need to add. Better to add a few ounces when you see the oil is halfway between the marks than you need to add a quart because the bike is normally run with minimal oil.
