Hey all, I'm assuming this is where the traditional "new guy" threads go. My name is Doug and I've been riding for ~20 years and all but 2 have been sportbikes. Coming from a cruiser (2010 Triumph Thunderbird) for the last 2 seasons, I forgot just how nimble a sportbike really is. This is my first Kawi and thought I should go with the biggest and baddest I guess lol. Picked up a 2012 Blue/Black ZX-14R on Friday and put 320 miles on it this weekend. Now I need a surgeon to remove this permanent smile on my face.

Anyway thought I'd join up and say hi. Looking forward to doing a lot of reading on these bikes. Below is a picture from yesterday:

2006 CBR1100xx with a few mods + V Star 1300A Cobra swept exhaust,Fi2000 EFI,Big air kit, Rad cover/Guard,Forward controls/pegs,Pillion mini boards,screen,rack,Saddleman seat a few chrome bits.

Yet another - welcome to yah!

All I've ridden is sportbikes, I have the same affliction. I tried out a 2010 HD Road King and put it through it's paces in BC by riding the Kootneys, but I did not seduce me away from the sport scene.
