Did a few dyno runs
06/29/14 9:45 PM

I went to one of the local shops open house over the weekend to hang out. They had one of those traveling dyno trailers. There was not alot of people there so i watch a kid get his new R6 dynoed. He came back with a reading of 106hp. The dyno guy asks if i want to do my bike and i told him i was up in the air but it would be nice to know. He said he would do a few baseline runs and give me a discount since i only wanted to know hp. He straps the Blk devil on the dyno and does a few warm ups. The temp was about 93 degrees and it was kinda humid as well. Anyway the bike put down three base runs as follows: 1. 193.63 2. 193.36. 3. 194.12. Im pretty happy for a 90+ degree day. Now i don't what this means but the printout says CF=SAE. Then it says Smoothing: 5. The bike also hit 212mph on the dyno so i guess the limiter is gone!

Any thoughts about my numbers from other guys that use the dyno on a regular basis.

That's over 200hp std numbers. Very solid. Looks like a great tune. Strong bike right there.

agreed. mine stock (4K miles + synth oil) only hit 180 with that kind of weather, hot+humid. On a diff dyno it made just under 207 with similiar mods to yours (ct duals, bmc filter, pcV and brock flash) ; in much better weather. low 60's temp. So for sure, its a good strong bike. I'd be plenty pleased.

Mine stock made 187. That number is excellent.

As we all know, each dyno and situation can vary greatly

With 5k miles and Brock's full duals and PCV, I got a bit over 187 with 104 torque.

The dyno seemed to be a portable one the rolled out to the parking lot. Chain not lubed and clean and bike strapped down too tight can both cost you hp

My dyno guy cracked me up. He 'bout pissed himself when he put the bike on low power and pulled one. He was like "damn, this thing just pulled as much as my buddies stock busa on low power!"

That was worth the trip right there :)
