If you notice the white stuff is only at the bottom. Up top all the way to the rez cap is clean. Also several other hoses on the bike look the same. That stuff was on the bike when I bought it.

Update....So rode the bike to dinner tonight. 90° out. Bike never went over 205°. Wanted to get the bike real hot I rode home and left the bike running in the garage. Bike would not go over 208°. Normally it would be 225°. So i think burping the system worked. Going bike camping this weekend. Hopefully it should run cooler now.

I'm so glad I took the time to do the work myself. Very good feeling. Me and my bike are that much closer!

Hose mystery:
1. I would think a hose drip never climbs that high up a hose? Na.
2. I would say standing from here, the rubber hose release agent? Can it be wiped off easily? Maybe.
3. I would look straight up, use a chopstick, place it at the highest point of the white stuff on the hose, see if that rez has a crack and is dripping out of the rez onto that hose. Possibly?

Signed,

Did you answer the big8 or keep chasing your tail. I'm clueless until those are cleared, but then again, it it ain't my bike. So figure it out. Thishit is too simple to figure out on my end.

If the rad was low, maybe it was all the twisties. An air bubble shifted somewhere. Glad you got it.

I still think that temp is a bit high. How hot does it run at cruising speeds above 45-50? At around 90-95 degrees out, I still cruise at temps below 185. It'll come up quick when slowed below 30mph or at a stoplight. If its 205-208 when running at speed, I'd still be a little worried.

anyone else notice their bike running that warm?

For it to run lower than 200° would need to be below 80° outside. Will see real results after this weekend. 400 miles of twisties.

Hub I think #2 is right. Release agent.
I will get back to you on big 8.

woo, woo, wait up. It says, if you figured enough out and solved it, why bother, case closed. You keep feeding it water, there is a problem. Not too many here fill their levels that soon meaning.

Update...back from my 400 mile weekend. Bike never went over 208° the whole weekend. Coolant after bike cooled never moved. Will still watch rez, but for now...case closed.

2013 model doesn't have bars for temp. It shows the actual temp, not bars.

79° was outside, actually the temp in my garage. The "F" is power control. "L" cuts power by 50% I think. "F" full "L"low.

Used "L" when I rode it off the lot. Kept it on low for 1 week. After that I never switch to low.
