.did you hear his comments regarding "other" people's comments?

yup, "people want to complain about paying 14,600" lol . What about guy who wants to sell his 2011,,, ouch.

14,600, Worth all that plus some.

Still makes me wonder about Kawis approach on the intro of this new Flag ship. First it was 6hp gain, then to 7-8hp gain,,,,,Now over 40 places,,,,,, C'Mon.

If Kawi would have done this kind of advertising from the start,,,,,,,,,,,,

Seno, when your piped 14 going on Dyno ????????????

You know,I traded mine in...didn't get a whole lot...cause of the mileage, but it knocked off 3 grand. So I didn't really do too bad?

I'm also wondering here...if this is his break-in procedure.

Mine was full MSRP..ya...it was.14,899 or whatever that was...something right there.

"Can't wait to see his #'s after he get her loosened up"...how long ya think that'll take Romes?Just curious.I've had mine to 8K a couple of times already.Tempted to just call it good now and ride it like she's totally ready...but I'm also afraid to.I don't want to screw up this nice motor somehow.Only...79 miles. How many miles you think it takes to seat the rings correctly...I opened er up(to 6 and 8 several times and coasted(in gear) downhill to the low rpms range.I've no idea how long this might take...the manual says...1000 miles. That seems like an awful lot.You think it could actually take that long?IDK.

4Krpms gets there very fast, and trying to work up and down without climbing higher is almost impossible. So I've run her between 4 and 6...mainly staying below 6,but going up and down to like 1500rpms and doing it like that. Not staying at any rpm for more than about a minute.Going through the gears...gassing her, then backing off completely with the throttle, then smoothly rolling on,and backing out...all different rpm ranges between 1500 and 8(once or twice,okay...a few more than that...but not many).I think the longest I've stayed at one rpm setting has been probably just over a minute, then change up either by shifting or working the throttle either way like one or two thousand more(or less)difference.Gonna keep doing it like that for a while...but I don't think I'm gonna make it to 1000 miles without opening her up to almost redline at least a couple of times. You think that will be okay?Change oil at 600 miles. Then one more dino oil change,to past 1000,then Full Syn .Whattaya think about that?

All will depend on the rider. I'm sure Rickie's motor will see more time under load in the red then most other 14s.

Tempted to just call it good now and ride it like she's totally ready

Grn12, If you go by that break in Article,,,,, "For Best Results",,,,, you only have about 25 miles to seat in the rings as the cross hatch pattern gets scrubbed away. After that has happened, it is what it is. Bikes that were run Hard Early made more power ????????? Above video tells you what Drag Racers Believe, out of the Box straight to Red Line. Seems crazy but their secret is out lol

My opinion is Dyno would be best way but as 99% of the natural world does not have Easy access to one, street will have to do. 5th Gear pulls need lots of space and Hot pavement. Not possible for us Winter folks lol.

Found this comment to be interesting,,,, Anyone here ?

LMAO, at the 6:00 minute mark, the first 2 runs the 2012R makes 189+, then the 3rd? run it makes 188. slightly less, not more. Gadson then hops off the bike to take a phone call, theres a break in the video, then the next run the bikes makes a whopping 7 more HP at 195+? I guess 188 isn't as shocking as 195. LMAO is all I will say.

Like the first time Ricky sat on a 2012 ZX14 after Brock touched one for the first time and hacked a tune onto it, Ricky ran 8.89 or something.

That 2012 is one sick machine!

i know nothing about dyne's but why on the 2011 model did he only take it to the yellow and on the 2012 he redlined it?
won't that naturally make the #'s better for the 2012?

You only have to run it up to where HP starts to drop off to get an accurate chart.

HP starts to drop off and/or level off quite a bit before redline. At least, on most streetbikes.

Going on dyno in a day or 2 literally. Brock was gracious and offered to send me a used noise reduction plug if I paid the shipping, once I receive that I will dyno it with & without the plug. Hell I am so damn impatient, might just dyno it today... LOL. He stated on bikeland that he will post my numbers on his site, which should disprove the hype that he uses "fixed" numbers for his products. Seems like a very cool & down to earth guy IMHO... Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one and some of them stink..... I know a few people on here told me he was "shady", I don't see it... As a matter in fact I have a lot of respect for him due to the fact he is going to use an anonymous bike for numbers. Just my 2 cents.

ok guess that makes sense that was just the only difference i saw between the 2 bikes. so the 2012 is making HP all the way to the redline....cool I've got too much in my bike to trade it in now lol for me it would be cheaper to go Turbo than to buy another bike. but I do like the plastics on the new ones

@Seno: Most of us were backlashing cause Brock was crying about not getting a free 14R from kaw and was trying to get people like you and me to write to kaw and ask for a bike for him... Other than that his CS and product are great. Now that you have ct duals you can probably tell... The free plug is a cool move but we are talking about a $2000 pipe. It's a small market so he better take care of his customers. The dyno post hmmm I dunno Seno to me it's advertising for Brock's not for you since you'll be paying for the dyno. Whenever I get my 14R I'll give akrap a try. I think Brock is the best but IMHO Akrap is as good now if I wasn't gna get my bike dynoed I would go with Brock's.

Hurry back with those numbers. You got everybody waiting. I'm thinking if Brock is willing to post it... he must be sure you are going to shout pass 200hp!!!!!

Ok for the record I have CT Single, not duals. In addition pipe was $1650, but bear in mind I had a lot of credit at a vendor so my out of pocket was quite low... All the other stuff I added was bought with money from extras and stuff I sold on eBay and kept in PayPal.... So in other words it was all paid for and it didn't hurt my wallet 1 bit.

My 07 was making 181, 108 with pipe, filter, PC3, and block offs. Someone's stock bike was 188??? Really?? Can you say really happy dyno?
Free advertising or not, with him sending me the noise reduction plug at no charge and going to a local shop I have used for dyno tuning before... It's all good. It certainly is dirt cheap to throw a bike on a dyno and make a few pulls. As far as Dyno tuning, that is a completely different animal.
