Maverick Vinales, Spain (Yamaha), 1:53.858
Franco Morbidelli, Italy (Yamaha), 1:53.891
Alex Rins, Spain (Suzuki), 1:54.068
Fabio Quartararo, France (Yamaha), 1:54.077
Jack Miller, Australia (Ducati), 1:54.105
Joan Mir, Spain (Suzuki), 1:54.129
Marc Marquez, Spain (Honda), 1:54.149

A sprinkle of Binder, a few duc's... this might have a lot of winners and new faces on the podiums. No bias, just looking at the talent to bike combo. Mav is in his prime more or less. Morbidelli is no Rabat IMO. Qman might have the most wins this year. We know MM'story.

Rules wise, is honda stuck with the frame and engine for the year or what? Rider residuals and an unrideable bike. Your boy is fucked for awhile. Besides, Vinales owes yammie one.

No mention of everyones golden one Hub???

Your boy is fucked for awhile.

And you all seem to write Marquez off at the blink of an eye.
Yes, there are challenges with bike and physical condition, but you dismiss Marquez at your peril!
But I agree it a lot more open this season.
Excellent for the fans...

Ah yes, the golden one. I'm counting down his 8 races to see what he does next. The only way he has a chance is if the rest up front break bones, or they all collect themselves, have time to stand up, dust themselves off, and they wave to golden boy collecting points for his last championship...

This is MotoGP 2020

Wow.
These promo's normally have the Doctor in them as a definite and major priority showcasing MotoGP.
Is the Valentino Rossi flame starting to finally flicker / star starting to fade?

You guys see that they cancelled the MotoGP class at Qatar? Moto2 and 3 are still going on. Coronavirus. All people flying in from Italy faced a 14 day quarantine. So, they scratched the premier class. Weird.
I guess the smaller classes were there testing and stayed in country.

Yeah, saw that.

Hope COTA doesn't cancel as well.

I've already bought tickets and rented a house a mile from the track for the event!

They just announced that they are postponing the Thai GP as well.
So far the season is starting out as a bummer.

That sucks even though I have no way to watch Moto GP except for the old stuff on youtube.

There will be a vaccine in a month. Just watch. They got people working on it.

On a happier note, racing wise, I signed up for the monthly WSB Video Pass.
I had it in the past and had horrible problems with freeze ups and buffering. So bad that I cancelled the account.
Last night I watched the season opener from Phillip Island. Was perfect. No problems at all. I think Dorna changed things when they bought the series.
So, until the WSB guys get into other parts of the world there is something on.

Ah, a reference point. Where Zarco jumps on a strange bike and watch the results. Where the turk changes brands and wins first time out. Chaz is long in the tooth. Remember when he came over here for awhile? Seems long ago. Redding is going to be a problem. The duc boys watched him and were impressed when he left gp. I guess they saw something? It sure wasn't gp.

Hey Mad, check your internet speed via a speed test online. If your down link rate is less than ~100 mbps you would expect buffering. My basic but latest modem from cable supplier is almost 200 mbps and no freezing or buffering at all

Agreed.

I had a WSBK subscription for the last 2 years (along with MotoGP) but didn't renew this year cause I found it quite boring.
But I never had any buffering issues over the time I was watching the supers...

So I hear the gp bikes were locked up in Italy coming back from last practice, and I also hear Valentino Virus is racing around the country there too. Postponed next round as well. Oh you lucky boy you, yannih; MM recovers without a reinjury chasing grip.

Short season makes you think the young ones take the chances and the old ones wait it out. At least there might be a show this weekend. I'm talking about Roberts. We had a discussion today about it being the bike or rider. I chose the rider's head game. Different frame, same engine. How fucking strange is one bike from the next? Oh, all of a sudden Lorenzo moves up front but takes out his career at that point. He took out a few, but it didn't take long to get the head in gear. My thinking is 'man adapts' to things, right?

Seems long ago but I wiped my drive and all my vids, and I had Roberts as a kid on a bmw 1000ss being drilled by Keith Code. I guess the kid got what he needed or not? He was a flash here and then died in the bottom of moto2 for what, his 3rd year? Low level team first year, last year it was same performance different team, and now this week.

If he's going to do something it better be this year. Over two tenths on the field. He might pull it off.

Whoo hoo Roberts on pole for Moto2. He said that the entire time he was on the KTM he never felt comfortable. Said the first time he got on the Kalex he felt like it was "His bike". John Hopkins put down his new speed to regaining his confidence.

It's funny.
By no means am I saying Moto2 and 3 are not important or entertaining.
But I just had no desire to watch them.
Without MotoGP I don't really have any interest.
Wrong attitude I know but it is what it is...

Shit, yannhi, you're missing close NASCAR type racing. Guys [in moto3] go from 1st to 8th to 1st within a few laps of each other. I've had my eye on Enea Bastianini since moto3. I picked him to win it, but leading and finishing 3rd was close enough for my choice. Remy Gardner was more impressive than Roberts. Those two are going to battle each other royally... if there are any more races.

Hub, of course you are 100% correct.
It's just me.
I watch all the races but enjoy MotoGP much more than others.
But without MotoGP I just seem to lose interest in the others...
Maybe if Remy Gardner comes good I might get back into it...

Buffering meter from 1 to 5 was a 3 on my end of the wire.
1. A pause for less than 3 seconds.
2. A pause for over 3 seconds.
3. A refresh.
4. A piss break waiting.
5. A hard shutdown and watch it later in the day,

I doubt they have ever had to consider this but what is the minimum amount of MotoGP races required in a season to determine a World Champion?
5?
10?
Who knows?
This consideration may well come into play in 2020...
