Let me know Rom, I'd like to get a complete motor that is running good. I'm not sinking anymore money into this one.
I spent $3K when the bottom end let go and now the top has let go and I'm not putting anymore money into it.
This time an intake valve on the #2 cyclinder snapped off and went all the way through scoring the cylinder.

DAng Heathun. I would hold off if you have not come by a new motor yet. Good time to upgrade to the new big Kaw if the rumors are true.
Rook I totally get your point of view but is that what you would do ? What does heath do with his bike that has no motor ? Hard to write off your baby as scrap and sell what's left. New 14 is going 2 be a tad bit Chunky on the wallet.
New motor for 14 has been around 2500 to 3 if speedo included. At least that is what I have been hearing. Heath in a tough spot but what choice does he have. Heath I feel your pain. Good money spent after bad hurts a man deeply. Been there done that got the T-Shirt.

I asked for the insurance brokers # today. May know soon. My buddy is busted up pretty good. The broken ribs punctured his lungs, liver damage, spleen, Kidneys. Blood clots are the major problem. He now has a filter in his chest,,,, Yikes.
Sounds like his body took the brunt of the impact.
how much you want for that motor and whats the year and mileage?
Don't know price as of yet. Mileage is low, maybe 10,000 kilo. Lady driven lol. Sorry but I know this bike and the driver. Good buy if I can get it. Will let u know.

Yea Rom, the 07' makes plenty of power and I've got her set up to handle great. I don't need all the fancy traction control and abs that'll probably be on the new model. If I can find a good used motor I'll get another 2 or 3 years out of her and then see whats going on with the 14. If I can't find a good used motor I'll probably buy a crate motor from muzzy and slap it in her.

Wish I could of helped you out with mine but the damn resale value of just the engine alone is keeping these things in the salvage yards.
