Hello all. New to sight so please excuse all the rookie mistakes. Just got my zx14 and ready to start the mods. I ordered my heli bar risers, that was easy enough. Now I want to change my seat to a one seater with the cover I see on a lot of 14s. Dose it come as one piece or do you just pick a seat and then find o cover you like or what, also ive seen some 14s with hard luggage that matches. Had the fins and all. Look like it came of a concours. thanks in advance for your help guys.

The solo cowl came on the zx14 stock. It just covers up the rear portion of the factory seat.
If you didn't get one with yours, you can find one on ebay or just keep an eye on the classifieds here.

The bags you are describing sound like the Corbin's. Nice but very pricey!

woooooooe Dogo, you were rite those corbin bags are a bit pricey but dam there sweet. Gota think on that one.

I dont want to get on a rant, but your dealer is not very honest. I cannot believe he would flat out lie and say it didnt come with one. Any dealer should know this, especially if it is a Kawi dealer. If it were me I would go back to the dealer and put the squeeze on, if it was a new bike you are entitled to it. Kind of like selling you a bike with one mirror and saying thats the way they come.

On another note let us know what color your bike is and maybe one of us can locate one for you, or better yet one of the members may have an extra one. You may post your request in the classifieds section. Happy riding!

Yup, the dealer owes. I don't think you could even buy one with out it.

unless he got the 09 with the special seat, guys. I don't think they came with a cowl.

But i've been wrong before.

Name names so Kawi can have a talk with them. Post the shop here. Go back and get your cowl and let them know we have their number.

Make sure they read hamr real hard. Like hard core let them read this thread.

$1,900 for bags?? are you kidding me! No wonder that dealer is trying to make some money by selling parts off of bikes they sell... they probably bought a set of these bags and now their loan sharks are coming after them threatening to break their legs if they don't pay up

09 w/ special seat *did* come with the cowl - I've got one in my garage.

BIG BIG thanks to all. went back to dealer, talked to Mgr got cowl and apology just like that. Said salesman was new and didnt know they were in the back and were kept off bikes to prevnt them from being damaged. Good looking out guys.

That dealer needs a kick in the nuts? He didn't know the 14 came with a cowling? Excuse me? Better check all your fairing bolts and such, they are often suspiciously loose from the factory. Just tweak them until they are 'rubber snug', don't go crazy.
