See if they are tapered at the ends? The '08 pipes or where they '06's I tore up? Either way, they sported some v-stack tapers at the ends.

The baffle pipe in the section I cut off had the funky tapered end on it. It ended up getting cut off while it was in the band saw. ie it was lower than the baffle pipes coming up.

Turtle told you it would fall on its face. It's all top end from here on out. I had to pound my tip back in when I goosed it up. PITA it was. The note became tinny. It lost its low bellow note, right? Maybe take the cap off, pound a sperving bearing into the one smaller transfer tube? One welded washer at a time: if not a bearing to pound in. Might bring back some grunt?

Yeah I would have to say it became somewhat tinny.

You lost me here. I need to restrict some of the flow in one/both of the transfer tubes? Better lowend performance? Turbo Encabulator?

I was discussing with C earlier toady about either plugging or restricting one them transfer tubes to see what would happen.

You have 3 open pipes say in one muffler. The parts would be:

1. A bearing to fit inside the one small transfer pipe. The second transfer and exit pipe remain open.

2. A washer tack welded to the outside of one transfer pipe. The second transfer and large exit remain open.

A. The pipes now have one bearing in each or one washer welded over.

B. The idea was... If I do not have a bearing with that O/D to jam in the pipe, I then would use a washer and if the holes need drilling out of that washer, you sure could not with the bearing... Sans punching the balls and inner race out of it, which you now use the outer race as the closing-down=ear.

C. The second transfer is then closed down too or closed off. Lots of options like you mentioned.

Good work Nasty. Might not have been the result you were looking for, but I have to give credit for having the guts to give it a crack.
I had a good Friday night. I finally got my custom radiator guard on and de-reflectorised it. I like the black radiator guard because it blends the front end giving it that all black imposing front that only black bikes have. Had to modify the reflector bracket to take the ABS sensor cable too. Turned out quite tidy. What do you think?
Before:

After:

Reflectorectomy:

New Pazzo levers and Throttlemeisters.

Gotta love it. Each small mod makes it just a little better and more individual every time I touch it.

I didn't have any junk bearings lying around so I used a pipe fitting to restrict some flow. I got everything painted and sealed with sillycone so later this afternoon after everything has had a chance to set I'll go for a ride.
