I built this for my motorcycles charging system. I wanted ceiling mounting instead of electrical cables running horizontally or on the floor. The charger sits about 7', but the pull spring allows me to pull it down to change the charge settings or put the wires up. The height is adjustable by moving the spring. Right now I just have a plastic wingnut on the pull string. I thought it would be easier to find knobs than apparently is. I'm going to make a make a knob using some 1/2" dowel rod I have or buy a plastic ball and drill holes through it. I also am going to add a hook to hang the looped charging cord.

I have a CTEK 3300. I had a small eye bolt (3/16" x 2 40lb) that I used in conjunction with velcro. I used sticky velcro on the bar and back of charger, then two sided velcro to wrap around the charger for added security. But the eye bolt goes through one of the charger's mounting holes in case the velcro would fail somehow. Depending on your specific charger, your mount methods will probably change. Sticky velcro can be bought reasonably at most stores, HF has rolls of double sided velcro and zip ties. If you need all this, add about $15-20 onto the materials cost (although you won't use all of it by far...probably about $1 worth). Note I did have to enlarge the charger's mounting hole for this particular eye bolt. It's not even noticeable if I had a warranty claim on the charger.
I just kind of eyeballed then measured where I drilled my holes. If you're interested in my exact measurements, I can get them for you but I didn't write them down.

Injury - Always wear safety gear (just like our fav sport), cutting and drilling risks, falling,
Mounting - Make sure you locate ceiling studs to mount this system to or provide an ample support in some other way. If this thing fell down onto someone or your bike, it'd definitely do some damage.
Electrical wire routing - route wiring to prevent chaffing, cutting, or damage to any electrical cords or cables
