Thought I'd just drop this here. A rider I've been coaching started his 2nd race season in the AFM racing in Novice 250 Superstock. Well, in his first race this year, he WON and finished 2nd overall behind and ahead of several experts. So, a great start to the season. Kid is like a sponge. He actually applies what you tell him, and that's what makes working with him fun.

This is a head game sport. The art of concentration. Where strength to muscle the bars and you telling it where to go. The exercise when off the bike; is all that training to get the head/body = Tone. It's more an endurance attack at the body, breaks the mind down, loss of peak concentration. It's more like the transferring of the "If I's."

If I only worked out harder to keep the tone.
If I only knew to look out father to gain smooth.
If I only had a mentor to guide me.

He doesn't know how lucky he is.

My deal was, 'If I don't think "WIN" in the mindset weeks before the race, and then right there on the grid...
