After 5 plus years, back on a ZX14!

3rd times the charm!

I bought my 2012 ZX14, with 27k miles, this week from the original owner. Bike came with Corbin seat and backrest, tank and soft bags, and brand new uninstalled battery still in the box.

After having my 2010 Concours for six years, I was looking for a second bike again. The C14 has shared the garage with my 07 ZX and my 04VFR. Lately I've been spending time on a Goldwing and recently test rode this 12ZX. Both bikes were priced the same and I wanted to try out the 14R before buying the Goldwing so, here it is!

First thing this bike needs, for me, is bar risers. I just ordered them last night. Next on the wish list is a Laminar Lip, tank bra, Throttlemeister, and rear hugger.Your text to link here...

Welcome back JJ!

Been thinking about getting a Connie someday, are they really that different from the beast? Must be or you wouldn't have both ...

To me, the riding experience is certainly different amongst the bikes.

ZX14: sit "on" locked and loaded. Power? Stupid! Competition? Puh leeze... ;)

C14: sit "in" sporty, looks good with and without bags, comfy for multi state riding.

Goldwing: like a Civic with the roof cut off, all comfy options, and handles surprisingly well.

The 14 kinda feels like a Concours with a 150mph tailwind.

Congratulations! I would be very interested in knowing if at 27,000 miles on the clock, how many times have the spark plugs been changed and have the valves be checked? Thanks.

Well Kamari,
After 5 plus yeas on the 1352, the next selection was either the tailwind or the civic convertible. Though the 6 flat is one hell of a handler at that weight point, the obvious choice was the 1441.

Being that the fung swei setting of the silver lining the wallboard, we know who wears the trousers in the house.

That being said, try and mouseketeer this into an essay.

go with lsl triple bar replacement, bar risers a waste of time. I ran double sets before i swapped to the LSL kit.
|triple bar has more leverage and is much easier to ride long distance with.
